Tell me about your LO

I'm curious to hear how everyone's schedule is like these days. Do you have a fussy baby, an easy baby? I'm also running out of things to read at night time :)

My little one loves to eat and sleep allllll day. The only time she fusses is when she has a wet diaper. As soon as she owes she wants to be changed right away ( don't blame her) she also likes to sleep in mine or DH's arms. As soon as we put her in the Basinet it's no more deep sleeps for her. An hour and half tops.

  • He's bald, eats and sleeps all day, poops a lot, and likes to spit up down my shirt.  Basically, a typical newborn. :)

This sounds like my little one except she doesn't fuss for diaper changes.... She screams when you change her though. Hates bring naked or cold.
  • Pretty typical 6 day old. He nurses every 2-4, hates be cold, sleeps best in someone's arms and wakes up if you lay him in the bassinet which makes for a long night lol. Hates having his hands swaddled. As of today he is 2 oz shy of his birth weight (yay)!

  • She smiles aaalllllllll the time. But screams when she poos (have call in to pedi). Hates bath time, being undressed, and having her diaper taken off. I think she may be going through 3 wk growth spurt bc she is eating every 2 hours & more than what she has been.

Loves sleeping during day and being up late into the night. Took this pic at about 5 a.m- my little happy girl, so dang alert! :-)

My LO screams when pooping too. But not every time. I'm curious what your ped had to say about it.
  • My LO is 10 days now- he loves to eat! We had a weight check today & he gained a whole pound in 6 days! So excited I no longer have to wake him for feeds, Yay!
My little guy was fussy today, but usually he is very laid back. He does not like getting diaper changed or getting dressed. He can sleep through anything, which is good because his big brother is loud!

This for the most part. She's 4 days old and we normally go 2-3 hours between feelings. Hates diaper changes and getting undressed. Sleeps like a rock in someone's arms and immediately starts squirming if you lay her in the bassinet. I hope she learns to sleep in the bassinet sometime in the near of future!

  • Gemma will be 2 weeks on Ftiday. She is a total sweetheart... Mush in your arms. She is such a good baby, easygoing. She pretty much only cries when she's wet or hungry. She can sleep anywhere and does. She nurses like a beast! She makes the funniest faces and has me laughing everyday.

  • 2 weeks exactly. She hates getting her diaper changed and getting clothes put on her but doesn't mind anything else. Loved the bath. Sleeps anywhere and anytime but prefers to be on someone's chest. Finally getting the hang of nursing. When she's done eating she pulls off and then spits out the one big mouthful of milk she couldn't be bothered to finish. Is wide awake after nursing instead of sleepy. Needs a pacifier for night time sleeps only and cries every time it falls out so I'm constantly rolling over to pop it back in. Always calms when we hpt music on. Obsessed with her hands and so also hates being swaddled. Really easygoing.
  • Right now this lo is more needy than DD was. She's formula fed and eats all the time. Sometimes every two hours and sometimes before. She's a light sleeper and does better when held.

So far she not a fan of baby wearing and that's killing me!!

DS2 will be 1 month tomorrow and for the most part wakes up only to eat at night. Maybe once a week, he thinks night time is daytime and decides to keep me awake with him. He seems so huge to me because I remember how small DS1 was at this same age. He's not a big fan of bath time. However, he totally relaxes when I turn him around and pour water on his back

  • As soon as my head hits the pillow at night, she wakes up.  She's sleeping in the Rock N Play most of the time.  Last night, I got her to sleep on my chest and put her in the crib and she slept for two hours!  I keep telling myself to keep her awake during the day as much as possible, but sometimes even that won't help with late night sleeping.  Last night, she was asleep from 10:30-12:30 in the crib, then wanted to party until 3 am, until I got her under the blankets with me and she slept until about 6.  Much better than the night before, when she woke me up every 30 minutes.  That was rough.

We've been taking morning naps most days after my husband leaves.  Then, she eats more and passes back out for a bit.  She hates swaddles.  She likes pooping multiple times at night in a row so that I have to get back up and change her.  She likes to stare me down while she's pooping.

I am so exhausted some days that I can't handle it, but I suppose that will improve as she ages.. right?  right?? :)

  • We're 13 days old. Going to bed in crib around 6:30-7:30. He sleeps in solid 3.5-4.5hr increments. Despite everyone's caution about c/sections and shitty nursing, he's a champ at it. Gained over a pound this last week. We are definitely struggling with gas... The toots are so painful for him. We just bought gas relief so hopefully that will help. The only other struggle is our a/c isn't blowing in his room so we're improvising with a portable LOUD unit until our landlord gets it fixed. We have to shut it off at night because I can't hear him cry over the a/c unit. Little guy is so hot but prefers swaddling so he's in a short sleeved onesie plus light SwaddleMe (highly recommend BTW). Luckily, he goes down without motion so no rocking or swaying necessary. I will say he's a strong little guy and is almost rolling over. Unfortunately he prefers to sleep on his side so today we're implementing a wedge to prevent this ...
  • DS is like an old man. Loves to eat, has major gas, poops a ton, and loves to sleep on the boob.

  • Baby girl is 4 weeks today.  We're basically on a schedule at this point.  Nursing around 6am then I'm out the door to take DS to daycare while she goes back to sleep and DH gets ready for work.  I'm back home within the hour and try to relax until she's up to nurse at 9.  Some awake time after that, then back down for a nap until noon.  Nursing again at noon, awake until around 1, then nap until 3.  Nurse at 3, then pack up and go pick up DS from daycare.  Get home and nap until 5:30 while I play with DS and get his dinner ready.  She nurses at 5:30, then more awake time.  She may or may not nap after this feeding.  Bath around 8, nurse around 8:30 and in her crib around 9pm.  She's waking anytime between 2am-4am for her MOTN feeding, then we start the cycle over at 6am.

She's become so much more alert in just the last few days it's getting more fun after nursing to hang out with her and watch what she does.  She is a pretty grunty baby and does spit up after basically every feeding, but she does settle eventually.  So far she's pretty easy, a lot like DS was.  Knock on wood it lasts.
  • LO sleeps most of the day but he is up for a while at a time. He is pretty much always attached to me feeding, and does not like to be held by other people. He also sleeps in my ams and once he is put down he wakes right back up! We are trying to be consistent and keep putting him in the RnP
