"Pregnancy Smell"

The other day H lifted up my shirt to kiss my belly and says to me "you smell weird". After getting all offended, he says "ok not weird, just...different. You smell pregnant I guess. Kind of like new baby smell but not quite."

I googled "pregnancy smell" and while most stuff was about smelly vags (seriously), I did find some stuff about all of the fluctuating hormones causing women to develop a different scent than what their body normally does.

Has anyone else heard of this or had their SO say something to them about it?

My deodorant stopped working last time, and it starting to so the same this time. I had to switch to clinical strength.

My H commented on how every now and then he caught a whiff of something, and that I somehow smelled like "new baby". After being confused for a minute, I confessed that I had been using baby powder on my lady parts to help stay dry on these hot days--we had a good laugh at that

absolutelymaybe UGH! Isn't showering such a chore these days??!! I get so winded bending down to scrub my legs and trying to shave all my parts...It's such a task!

I just smell sweaty. I hate it because I have to wash my bras all the dang time and I only have two that fit right now. I would kill to smell sweet like baby!

@wildflower75 - Kind of is! DH was in the bathroom last night when I finished showering and he saw me bending down to try to get the squeegee for the door. It was pretty comical.

I have not noticed this - but I also hate showering in the morning now. If I wake up and my hair looks okay, I just do a sink bath and move on with my day.

this!! ive noticed a lot more um b.o. i suppose even though my shower and deodorant routine are exactly the same. it's almost like my deodorant just doesn't work anymore. switching to clinical strength is a great idea i'll try that!! it'll be better than washing my pits during the day. i'm so gross

This question makes me laugh because 1. I was positive that I was smelling worse, like BO so switched deodorants but realized that it's really my heightened smell. 2. My husband will bury his nose in my neck and say "I love to smell your skin oils!!" Which he NEVER did while I wasn't pregnant, and 3. I really do think I can smell a scent on me overall that is a little more muskier than usual. I most def think it's the hormones!
