Feedings...

How many times a day does your LO eat? My daughter just turned 8 weeks yesterday and for the past two days she's been taking three hour naps and going four hours between feedings during the first half of the day. I'm breastfeeding on demand, but also remember being told that they should eat 8-10 times a day. Today she will have only eaten 7 times (yes I know not far off), but just worries me with much she's been sleeping. She averages 8 feedings a day. So just curious as to how often and how many time a day your LO eat. Sorry it's so long. :-/

    That seems fine to me. I wish my son (also 8 weeks) went that long.

    Seems like 20x a day:) prob close to 12. I would say if he is gaining and having plenty of wets and dirties you're all good

    Mine is 6 weeks and is going longer between feeds. I read getting closer to 6 a day is normal. She's always pooping and peeing, so I'm not worried!

    DD, 8 wks tmo, sleeps a lot in the mornings and doesn't get really hungry till the afternoon. Then she spends the evening catching up. Sometimes it seems like she's not eating enough, but my feeding app says she averages 8.5 feeding sessions a day and 2 hrs on the breast (I only time active eating, not the a whole session).

    She's happy and growing like a weed so it seems to be working for her. And it gives me time during the day to get things done and spend time with DS. Win-win.

    We're at 8 weeks too and he has about 9 feedings a day. But I EP and bottle feed, I don't know if that makes a difference. When I breastfed it was also 9-10 a day.

    I was worried about this too. 9 weeks and eats an average of 7 times. However she is growing like a champ. From 20% to 80%. My vote is if she is growing and wetting enough diapers you are good.

    Same. I get 2 to 3 hours now. It's nice and the pain is going away. Yay!

    Mine is 7 weeks and takes 6-7 bottles a day

    8 week twins. I started counting 9 per child lately. Anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hrs (although the 4 hrs I can count on one hand!). Most are between 1.5 and 2.5. Tired

    8 weeks here and we have 8-9 a day, typically 2-4 hrs apart.
