In an effort to focus on the many ways we're all awesome moms, instead of our failings, let's post some of our accomplishments here, too!!
Here's mine for today - All of my kids are currently clean. All at once. I can't remember the last time that happened. I actually bathed four kids this morning - scrubbed hair, clipped nails, cleaned out ears - all of it. Usually I just pick the dirtiest ones or the ones that messed in their diapers and scrub them down before starting my day. MOTY
Now, the baby found a marker that the older kids left out not even five minutes after she got dressed and now has brown marker all over her face, but at least she smells nice and is sanitary for the first time in a week.
It's the little victories
Re: s/o Mom Accomplishments
I started a load of laundry last night before bed. I normally do laundry on the weekends but we needed some done. I meant to throw it in the dryer before I left for work this morning so it would be done when I got home but I forgot. So, I get half credit for attempting laundry during the middle of the week because it's partially done, right??
Last night I sat DS on his potty. I gave him a half juice half water sippy and he drank it all. 30 mins later, he is still on the potty and hasn't gone yet. My dad and my MIL were both there telling me to take him off the potty and just give up. Well, my son wasn't crying or fussing, he was happily sitting on the pot without trying to get up so I figured I would wait him out. This is only the 2nd time we have attempted to use it and I want to celebrate when he does go so he knows WHY he is sitting there. I decided to take him with me, pot and all, to the big potty when I had to go. Guess what? He peed! Both my dad and MIL were still complaining that it took 30 mins for him to pee. I held my ground! It's my kid, and as long as he isn't upset about sitting on the potty, then I don't care about what you think! Period.
Oh, one more thing. DS has been using his Toddler bed for 2 nights now without any issues. (We started on vacation over the 4th of July because Grandma and Grandpa bought a used one at a garage sale for our trip to Oregon even though he wasn't using one yet). Last night, when it was bed time, he went up to his bed and crawled in on his own and laid down. Makes my heart smile that he is okay with his new bed and jumped in it on his own.
She's also an excellent, adventurous eater. She eats almost anything I put in front of her, although potatoes still tend to be hit or miss. I figure the combination of me eating a variety of healthy flavorful foods through pregnancy and BFing, plus giving her the same stuff we eat as soon as she graduated from purees, is the reason. She hasn't hit the picky toddler stage yet, and I'm really hoping it will either be mild or not happen at all because we set a good foundation for her!
Oh, and our house is, like, 90% clean most of the time. The laundry room is a freaking disaster, but for the most part I do a damn good job of containing the chaos. ;-)
I don't have much for accomplishments yet today. But yesterday I made chicken and rice for dinner and even my picky eater liked it.

I'm not feeling super accomplished, so that's all I can come up with.
I have noticed some pretty good results with that and dieting since March. Still got a decent bit of flub in the belly and cellulite everywhere else, but eh.
We have all the furniture assembled and I've ordered just about everything we need for the new baby's room. It'll be ready way ahead of when I thought.
First round of Clomid in May 2012= BFP #1, DD born January 2013

Neither kid napped well/ dd didn't at all, and they are both asleep before 8, which is amazing because ds is in the middle of a food fail, which generally involves little sleep. Plus, my whole house is clean.
I have been trying to teach dd the colors in Spanish, and she kept showing no interest. But this evening she kept picking up crayons and asking what color they were.
It was so nice that after every one of our six flights this summer, someone would tell us how well behaved DS was. After all of my fretting about his screaming through his plane rides, he did incredibly well, and others noticing was icing on the cake.
