Baby registries already?

I have seen a bunch of ladies posting that they registered for this or that? I thought it was too early to register. When is the best time to make a baby registry? Who has registered already?

I have created a registry online but no one knows about it yet. When I find out the sex I will add more stuff but so far I have only done the important things that I know I will need.

Always better to be prepared

I started my registry right away I'm a bit of a planner- but like the lovely ladies above me I kept it quiet for a bit and put mostly necessities on it for anyone who asked to buy early.

I don't think there is a hard and fast rule. DH and I are going this weekend, but only because shower invites are going out in the next few weeks. Otherwise we would probably wait.

My husband and I are doing it next week. I will be 20 weeks. The only reason I picked then is because we are on vacation (well staycation), and it fits our schedule best.

I not only registered already but I've already bought everything but about 4 things on mine, the rest are being bought by the in-laws per their request.

I registered a few weeks ago but haven't told anyone about it. I really just wanted a central list of things I want and need and to start getting an idea of cost etc.

I too have registered already but haven't told anyone but my Mom about it. I find out on 08/07 if we are having a Boy or Girl and then I will finish it up.

I did tell my co-worker because she just had a baby last December and I wanted some input and then she surprised me that day with some of the stuff I registered for. It was so sweet of her

I started registering this month but mainly because I'm a teacher and would like to be done before school starts. Plus I'm a slow shopper and have to research things as I go along so it takes DH and me a while to figure it all out. So much stuff to do but its been fun overall! :-)

Started, but everything is still private. Mostly we are just adding anything and everything and then edit and taper things down as we do more research on the various items.

We likely won't make any registry info public until we know when the shower will be.

I'm so excited, so I keep adding things to an online (secret) registry. I'm kinda using it like Pintrest right now. If I see something I like, I add it. Later, I'll edit. Like, now, I have 2 carseat/strollers. I'll narrow it down when I make a decision. I had cribs on there, even though I knew my mom would be buying that (she's told me since the day I told her I was pg). So I listed ones I liked to keep them top of mind. You should start! I started to create a registry but only DH knows about it. There isn't much on there; stroller, high chair, play yard. Stuff like that.
