Intro to the October Sorority!

WHile I love reading and keeping up with everyones posts, I feel like Im back in college during pledge week saying "yes! Id love to pledge your sorority!" ha! You guys are a hoot, and like me, brutally honest!

Ill finally introduce myself- though Im not a regular on the site, I found myself with some free this this summer. Im a kindergarten teacher and my husband and I are expecting our first October 17th. A little girl. Im thrilled for bows and pink- though my husbands idea of bows come with arrows and camo.

You'll have to bear with me- as I have no idea how to do much on here- I usually just read through peoples question and silently reassure myself of all things pregnancy related.

I think that's all I need to do- but Im sure Ill hear about it if I've forgotten to include something!

@KariAnnM23, Im currently working 8 hours a week at a private school for students with special needs and loving it. Summer is wonderful and about the only one that I'm wishing away because thats one step closer to October

@jalara48‌ , this has to be a joke. What food DON'T I eat anymore. Wait. Raw sushi. That's what I don't eat and exactly what I will be eating as soon as little fetus is here. ((yes, I call her fetus, because when your best friend is (and will be my) L&D nurse, it's what you call her)) Otherwise- I just finished stuffing my face with a quesadilla and some homemade guac, and a handful of chips, and maybe some blackberries. Totally normal.

@DaniGrace89‌ , do you want the honest answer? I was blessed to not have any. I was a little nauseas- but nothing some crackers and sprite didn't fix. Plus five year olds are really oblivious to everything- I decided to tell them I was pregnant the last week of school, none had even asked and I definitely had gotten a belly!

@Danigrace89 I can't speak for mbobrow1 but as for me, having a bathroom in my room was a lifesaver. I had a leader who was in charge (take names of people who are not following the rules/staying on task) if I had to go to the restroom. Not ideal but better than having to leave the room each time I felt sick.

Welcome.

I have to admit that I had a Tuna on a California roll and Baked Scallops on a California roll on Sunday. I was in total yummy mode while eating them. This is only my 3rd time this pregnancy to eat sushi.

Now that is what I want for dinner. Oh to have more. but once in a while durning pregnancy. Seafood is my favorite!

Hello and congrats on your little girl. As one PP noted, I think you sound like someone that will fit right in on this board. And btw: I echo your missing of Sushi - while I ate cooked rolls too, my favorite was just plain sashimi, white tuna or salmon or mackerel, okay now I'm hungry

- I too will be partaking in that particular evil once baby is born. That and red wine are what I miss the most.
