When to talk to doctor?

Hello:) all new to this.. I just had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago and going off of my last period I haven't had one in 71 days (May 6th) so when should I call the doctor? My doctor told me I should wait 2 periods before trying to get pregnant again.. My periods have always been way long like 60 days in between but now I want to start trying again. Any help would be great thanks! Again, I'm all new to this!

I'm sorry for your loss. You would count your miscarriage as the start of a cycle. It could take a while after a loss for your period to return.

Generally, if you go 60 days without a period you should call your doctor. So you've still got a bit.

I believe you should consider your bleeding from the miscarriage as the start of a cycle. Your body will take time to recover from it so if you go 60 days without a period you should call your dr.

Definitely listen to the dr if they want you to wait a couple cycles to start trying again. I'm benched right now for the same reason and I know how hard it is

So sorry for your loss, it's nothing I wish upon anyone

From experience, had 3 MC in about 13 months period, each time was like starting a new cycle. 1st time it took about 4 wks, 2nd was the same but my third, in April, only took about 2 weeks for my period to start. It really varies person to person. You would count from the first day of the MC, not the last period.

So sorry for your loss. As pp have said, your MC is actually considered the beginning of a cycle. If your Dr advised you to wait two cycles before TTC again, please follow their advice. If you go 60 days from the beginning of your MC and still no AF, then give your Dr a call. Best if luck to you!
