3D scan fail :(

Baby girl is head down, curled on her right side facing my left. She had her hands covering her face with her face buried in the placenta.

Since she is all on one side curled up tight there is very little fluid around her. Plenty on the right side but not enough around her to get a 3D view of her face or hands. Very cooperative of her! But we did see on the normal 2D her face and a head of hair!

Oh no! We have ours on Saturday! The place I'm going to said if he is "shy" we can come back no charge. I love that you could see hair!!!

was it an elective scan? Maybe you could get it redone free of charge since they couldn't get a good look?

I echo pp's if it was an elective, def ask for it to be redone. I have weekly scans for my vci/growth issues and last week the u/s tech said hey lets try and get you a pic!! and she pulled out the 3d wand only for my LO to be doing the same thing your's was. Hands in front of her face all curled up. Not cooperating.

Aww sorry you didn't get a good look. We haven't gotten very clear 3Ds with this LO, and didn't with DD either. Shy babies!

The local sonography program thru the community college does scans 1x a month for $35. For the price it was worth a shot, she just did not want to give us a sneak peak! The first machine gave us great 2D shots but they didn't print anything off it thinking we would get them on the 3D. Bummer.

This was the best shot the could get. Reminds me of the creatures in the movie prometheus lol. You can kind of make out the tip a nose?? top left corner?

Awwww I know how that goes! My little one is always breech. We go once a month for growth scans. They told me the last time the best chance to get a cute face pic is between 28 and 32 weeks. I was psyched when we went the other day, only to find out hes still breech and our picture isnt all that great haha. Now his butt and all boy parts she said shed have no problem getting us pics of that haha, no thanks I know hes a boy already!
