Quick Q about internal exams

I'm trying to remember when my OB started doing the internal exams on me. Is it 32 weeks? 36 weeks? I have an appt tomorrow morning (I'm 27 weeks today)- she probably won't be doing an internal, right? :-/

Mine started them at 36 weeks.

With E, I did have one early on because I had been having an obscene amount of contractions and they wanted to make sure it was preterm labor. But with him, they didn't start doing routine internals until 37 weeks.

I always *want* to decline them because its like getting your hopes up only for nothing to happen. But I can't help it. I like hearing if there's progress. And apparently I like crying when there isn't. LOL

I declined them until I was in labor. They do not tell you anything and really serve no purpose but making women crazy

With my first two, they started at 36. but you could decline. I never had any with #3, not even during labor. My MWs don't like to do them. Only had one with #4 a few days before I was 42 weeks, when we were assessing whether or not I could still have a HB.

Actually I did have one 2 days before I went into labor bc I was in l&d for decreased movement. My next one after that was 3 days later when I was 6 cm

They didn't offer me my first until I was 41 weeks so I don't know when they do them otherwise. My SIL had her baby at 39 weeks and her dr. Never did one until she was in labor. Sounds like it's different everywhere I guess? I didn't like mine when I had it... It hurt... But I was also at 0cm and they went ahead and stripped me so maybe that's why.

I declined until 40 weeks. I knew I was going to go past due. Grimy doctor paws all over my cervix when I'm not even due? Ain't nobody got time for dat!
