DH had a second interview on Monday at yet another Career and Technology Center in our area for a full-time teaching position. Ironically, the way he found out about this position was through the last school that he interviewed at but didn't get the job; the new place had contacted them for their top candidates' contact information as they went through their hiring process. The interviews seemed to go well, but this was the third time we'd been through this and we were preparing ourselves for another disappointment.
Well... they called this morning and offered him the job!!!! The pay is way better than we expected, and it's exactly what he wanted to do. We really feel that it was God's plan all along for him to teach at this specific school. They have a lot of underprivileged kids who don't have any good role models in their lives except for their teachers, and DH will be in a prime position to really make a difference for them. It is only 45 minutes away, so although we will probably try to move a little closer eventually, we will still be close to home like we wanted. He is also teaching 2 evening courses at the college he was at last semester as an adjunct instructor, so he will be very busy this fall (plus the baby is due in September). But one busy semester is totally doable.
We are still in shock and trying to process all of this. After so many disappointments and heartbreak, it's finally all starting to make sense. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and kind words as I vented on here a few times about our situation. You ladies are the best

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013. We love her to pieces.
We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011. She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
