I hate characters, but the kid LOVES minions. I think I'll cave unless I find a better idea.

Birthdays are supposed to be about celebrating our kids and the things the love right now. (Plus they kind of act like minions at this age) I think it will be a really cute party and W will love it.

Get the 2T, she can wear it longer that way (with the ribbon it should be easy to adjust.

Do it! And I will be the odd one out that says go with the smaller size dress. I prefer clothes to look like they fit when it comes to special occasion items instead of getting more use out of them. Plus that shape of dress can easily be worn as a cute tunic shirt with leggings once she is too tall to pull it off as a dress.

Damnit now you have me rethinking this! She is a string bean, but tall. It almost looks like the only difference is 17" vs 18" in length. Hmmmm

I'd go 2t on the dress. If it's too big, you can probably alter it or have someone else alter it down. If it's too small, you're hosed. But dresses like that are super-simple and not very fitted, so it's very likely a moot point either way.

Love those thank yous! I ordered the 18-24 mo dress. She [the etsy seller] has a TON of adorable character dresses, but they take a month to make (PSA!). What do you guys think about "calling all minions" on the invite. I think it's kind of cute. ANd make half the ticket look like a movie ticket stub. That's what I'm thinking

LOL like I said, pillowcase style dresses are basically sacks with drawstrings at the top

It's hard to mess up on size, so I'm sure you're fine. If it does end up on the short side, leggings would be cute!

I LOVE THIS THEME! I wish DS would have let me do it for his 5th birthday.

Google "Twinkie Minions" There is a way to cut Twinkies in half and make them minions which is probably slightly easier then doing oreos/homemade cookies.

I love that One in a Minion phrase and the round flat cake! Doooo Eeeeeet!

we are doing a minion theme as well my son's birthday party. he is in love with minions and gets excited every time that commercial for is it universal studios (i dont even know..) comes on with minions in it.

there are a ton of cute ideas on Pintrest that i have spent the last week pinning. i think it will turn out to be a cute party
