Since I know y'all have been waiting with baited breath for me to talk more about my love life.

I met a cute dad on Tinder, and we seemed to have a bit in common, so I met him for HH after work today. It was fun. I think we're going to go out again sometime. We talked music, and movies and politics :x which was so refreshing. I had been a recluse for too long, y'all!

No other point to this post than to AW.

ETA: I removed the quotation marks from the word date, because I don't know why they were there in the first place.

He's almost the polar opposite of HGG, which is funny. They're about the same age, both tall with beards, but this dude is so NORMAL. Definitely not a freak or going through an "emotional midlife crisis." Or maybe he is, but he's hiding it.

I just wonder if he's not "too" normal, since I'm kind of a broken weirdo lol

Aww, you guys!!!

Things are going well, I think! He's come over a handful of times after DS goes to bed, sometimes to eat dinner and watch Netflix, sometimes to just watch Netflix and make out, depending lol Oh, and he brings the dinner

He keeps saying all the right things, and it actually seems genuine (not cliche stuff, but stuff I wouldn't necessarily expect). I get all hearty eyed.

He did send me a pic of his XW the other day

and then seemed confused why I said it kinda crossed a boundary line. There is back story, but in the end it was just weird. I'm not writing him off yet, but it did kinda put my guard up a little more.

And ok, I'll stop rambling now. He's a cutie and a sweetheart, and I like him. The end.

Yeah, it was a Halloween costume thing. He dressed as the dude from Memento, and was talking about carrying a Polaroid camera around with him to be authentic. He sent me a pic of him in costume, and then a pic of one of the Polaroids of his XW scantily clad with the hand-written caption, "NAME - will help you in x-change for SEX"

It was themed and clever, but... uh... yeah, I got the authenticity well before seeing that.

I honestly think he was just oblivious. Amazingly enough lol

Ugh, I'm so giddy about it. I went to his house today after work (got off early), and I felt like being in his home vs. mine made him let down his guard a little more and be himself. It was brief, but a lot of fun. While I was there, a friend called him and he was like, "Hey I gotta go, because Frenchie is about to leave" like, his buds already know of me enough to not be like, "who dafuq is Frenchie?"

Idk, this is fun. lol

That's exactly what I was thinking this morning as I was loading the dishwasher. (Because I think of all you ladies throughout my day like the creeper I am...)

lol Y'all are adorable. I guess I am kind of glad HGG served his douchy purpose. He was also a very recent reminder of just how douchy dudes can be if you let them, and that makes me appreciate Cute Dad's non-douchiness even more.

Our next date will be next week if I can get a free sitter. We might be stuck with Netflix dates, though, because I can't afford $40 every week.
