XP: Interview help

I also asked the girls on my BMB (hi kdc!)

I got called for an interview (for tomorrow!) for a job I really don't think I'm qualified for.  I kind of feel like it's a cattle call where HR uses the in person interview to really critically assess your resume and weed you out - which sucks because I have to take off a chunk of time for work to do but my DH is encouraging me to go because you never know.  

Anyway - I've never done an HR specific pre-interview before.  I've always dealt with the hiring manager (and HR, all in one visit).  I'm not sure what questions I should be asking of this person at this stage of the process.  Any guidance?

    Are you interested in the job? 

    If yes, don't worry about if you think you aren't qualified.  They probably would have not called you to schedule you if they didn't see something on your resume worth looking into.

    Just go-- the person doing the inital interview is going to ask you a lot of the same questions that the hiring manager will.  You are correct in that this first phase is to "weed" out people that they do not think are suited.
