Pregnancy life Hacks!!!

I just discovered some things that i think will make pregnant life easier and couldnt find the appropriate post to put it in. Sorry if i missed it. Anyways taking a hair rubber band, looping it around the button hole and then placing the other end around the button of my jeans just saved my life at work..I CAN BREATHE!!I have also found that eating ginger snaps works better than crackers and ginger ale for nausea...Any other "life saving" tricks that we all should be aware of? Feel free to direct me to the appropriate post if this has already been done :)

Re: Pregnancy life Hacks!!!

  • I made ginger infused tea. I haven't tried it yet, but the smell helps. Planning to have some when the kids go down for a nap.

  • one of the weird hacks I got from my last pregnancy...Apple Cider Vinegar.  Take a teaspoon shot of it (with a chaser if you need it) for nausea.  The acidity in the ACV counter acts the acidity in your tummy and settles it.  Oddly enough, it really did help last time...so far this time, not so much :(

OK. Just tried it and it's actually pretty good. The ginger was a bit strong, so I'm going to cut back on that.

    Here's the recipe so far:

3 tea bags (I used white mangosteen peach, I'll probably go with a fruity herbal tea next time to avoid caffeine. I definitely recommend a fruit flavor as it compliments the ginger.)
1 TBSP fresh ginger (I used 2 TBSP and it is strong. Also, I bought fresh ginger in the Asian foods section.)
    1 qt hot water

I put the tea bags and ginger in an infuser and let it brew until the water was a champagne color. I added 1 tsp honey to my cup to sweeten it.

Sucking on a peppermint can help ease nausea. I always keep them in my pocket to prevent projectile vomitting in public. Also for some reason fountain pop (especially coke) calms my tummy something about the syrup in it helps with nausea
  • I always craved apple cider vinegar wit my first. I put it on everything. Even dipped pita bread in it. I swear by Emetrol and Lemon Ginger tea. I'm going to buy preggy pops soon. But they're sour flavored so I tried sour candy and that helped too.
  • When the hair tie trick gets too tight try belly bands. I wore all my jeans til the end using those. Love them!
  • Yogi tea makes a great ginger tea.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

  • I loved the Belli brand body oil last time but the nozzle didn't spray well. I got one of those mistos from bed bath and beyond that foodie types use to cook with, and emptied the body oil into it. It was AWESOME.
  • Granny smith apples and lemonade have really helped my nausea. That and Preggie Pop Drops.
