For those LOs who take 4.5-5 oz or so, do you use a 9 oz bottle? I only have 4oz and 9oz bottles. It seems like there would be a lot of air in such a big bottle.

FWIW, we use a mix of 5oz and 8oz Medela bottles because that's what we have and my DD averages 2-3 oz max at a feeding (she's somewhat reverse cycling; every now and then she'll eat 6 oz in a single feeding!).

my little guy is a good eater! he does 5.5-6 oz every 2-3 hours during the day, and 0 or 1 wakeup to eat at night.

7AM- Nurse

10AM- 4 oz (just up from morning nap)

12:30PM- 6 oz (then down for nap)

3:30/4PM- Nurse

7PM- 8 oz (down for the night- sleeps 11-12 hours)

LO gets bottles 1-2 days a week... He's 4.5 months up to 4 oz every 3 hours. He nurses every 2.5 usually with me.

@scooter028‌ how is it going with your supply? Mine tanked since I started working despite pumping at least twice and sometimes 3x a day ! I'm taking fenugreek,thistle, shavatari (spelling)

LO is taking 4 oz every 3 hours while awake I have the person watching her writing down everyday her bottles and she takes 3 bottles from 8 am to 5 pm I feed her at 7 before I go to work and at 6pm as soon as I walk in the house. But usually I'm empty at That time so I feed her 4oz if formula at 8 for bedtime and breastfeed again at 12 am and every 4 hours after that .
