I actually was in Time Square at the 1999/2000 ball drop. It was amazing. Granted it was cold, but we were there with a bunch of friends so it was ok to be close. We went in the barriers at 4pm and had to wait if you left you lost your spot. I finally convinced a cop to let me out to pee and get a hot chocolate (I got him one too). It was a long time but so fun. And at the stroke of midnight it was chaos but peaceful. I can't explain it. So much fun, I am in Ca now, but I would do it again in a heart beat! Happy New Year!
