My mom wants me to wait til the 11th

in 3rd Trimester
to have this baby because it is more convenient for her.  Seriously.  I want to slap her.  I realize that my EDD isn't til the 18th, but like I have told her for the last week and a half, this baby will be here before then, and I am sorry, but my uterus really doesn't like my mom anyways.  So yeah.

    She is insane.  Anytime she and I get into it, she will find some parenting skill I have and totally critique it.  Once she and I got into it bad and she threatened to call the dept of human services on me because :::gasp::: i had my DD in a daybed.  My mom is all about the world revolving around her and when I flat out tell her it doesn't, she gets pissy.  The reason it isn't convenient for her for me to have this baby next week is because she has to work and she doesn't want to use any of her vacation or sick time to come see me.  But she will use both to go fishing and camping in the summer.  Sweet huh?  My mom sucks.

    Perhaps you and Tarta could hang out and sit with your legs crossed very tightly to prevent giving birth before family members wish for you to do so.

    Oh and i forgot to add that when I had my first DD she said to me, Why would you name such a beautiful baby such an ugly name?  And then proceeded to say Teagan was a boy name and that is just awful since she is a girl.  Um my name is Jamie and my mom's name is Shawn.  Uh....ok...

    Wow, I am sorry you have it so bad with her. I would say maybe with a new baby around she might change, but you already have DD around and she has not.

    That really really stinks. :(

    Who cares what she says. I'd have locked my mom out of my house and life already...but I guess that might just be me.

    I wish things would go better, but it sounds like it wont. This is your baby and you will do what is right for you, not your selfish mom. She'll just have to get over it. When she explains it to people why she's so upset, she'll just make herself look even more horrible.

    You just worry about you, your husband, and your kids.
