Had IUI today – Staying positive with no Stress

Hi Ladies, I don’t really post here but I do read a lot of your posts and have learned a lot from you ladies.. We did two IUI cycles 2 years ago with no success with DH SA not great  (less than 3M post wash and low motility) but RE said we still had a shot (you only need one, right?). We took a break and we decided to start again this year.  We went to a new RE and had all the testing done. To our surprise DH SA was normal and the dr. was surprised to see the improvement as he didn’t take any medication. I started on Synthroid, CO-Q10, DHEA and of course prenatals (from before) mid June, with a prescription for provera if AF didn’t show by July 10th.  AF showed up with no warning and no medication on July 1st. I started on femara cd3- cd7 with a trigger shot – ovidrel on cd14. We went in for our first IUI today and DH post wash count was 13m with 93% motility. We will go in tomorrow for another IUI, RE recommended B2B IUI’s). We have not told anyone that we are doing this process, to avoid all the question and then disappointment if it’s not our month. How can I contain myself when all things seem to be going good this cycle? My husband already asked me - his exact words – “When will would know if we are baking”. I am keeping faith and my fingers crossed that this will be our month.

May 2014   - TSH retested, higher than 1st test. Start on Synthroid. DH SA (Normal)
June 2014   - Start on DHEA, CO-Q10, New brand of Prenatals
July 2014   - Cycle came on its own, b/w on CD2, TSH (normal), Femara CD3-CD7, CD14 - u/s + Ovidrel + baby aspirin regimen. IUI #1 B2B on CD15/16 - BFN

August 2014 - u/s on CD3 normal, Femara CD3-CD7, u/s CD12, Ovidrel on CD13. IUI #2 B2B on CD 14/CD15 - BFN.

September  2014 - u/s on CD3 normal, Femara CD3-CD7, u/s scheduled for CD12

    That is amazing that your SA numbers improved so much on their own!

    January 2010 SA results: Count 16 million, Motility 40%, Morphology 2%
    January 2010- Surprise BFP! DS born 10/1/2010 :)
    January 2013 TTC #2
    September 2013 Repeat SA: Count= 1.7 million, Motility= 24%, Morphology= 2%
    November 6th 1st Appointment with RE: diagnosed with severe MFI
    Testing to try to determine a cause & possible treatment for MFI
    CD 3 blood work for me. RE does not want to repeat my HSG/lap at this point,
    but may want to before moving forward with any fertility treatments.
    After seeing the uro, DH is currently taking lots of supplements and clomid to try to boost his count. We will have a repeat SA in February to see if it works.
    Follow up SA numbers are: Count= 4 million, Motility= 40%, Morphology= 1%
    Uro wants us to have another follow up SA 5/9 to see if we see further improvement than we are back to the RE to make a game plan.

    SA 5/9/2014 Count: 12 Million, Motility: 60%, and Morphology 2%. We will be doing iui #1 in late June

    IUI #1 6/28 clomid + ovidrel, post wash count 3 million total sperm= BFN

    IUI # 2 7/21 clomid+ ovidrel. post wash count 900,000 total sperm= BFN

    IVF planned for early November- cancelled due to cyst

    December IVF #1- 22 eggs, 20 mature,16 fertilized

    12/9 Transferred 1 4AA Blast, 6 frosties

    Missed M/C natural cycle 10/2013

    DX PCOS 3/2014

    2 cycles Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel + TI

    1 cycle Clomid 50 mg + TI - no response stair-stepped to Clomid 75 mg + Ovidrel + TI

    1 cycle Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel + IUI

    1 cycle Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Follistim + Ovidrel + TI

    1 cycle Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Folistim + Ovidrel + IUI

    1 cycle Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Follistim  - no response, repeated Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Follistim + Ovidrel + IUI = success! 12/2014

    Beta 1 - 15 dpiui, 324, Beta 2 - 17 dpiui 750. Twins!!

    Good luck!!  How wonderful that your husband's SA numbers rose on their own, and that AF came without trigger.  Hopefully that means things are regulating a little better and this round of IUI will be successful.

    Jan 2014: 1st RE appointment. BW, HSG, and SA are all normal. DX is unexplained infertility.
    Apr 2014: BFP that turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. HCG reached 2,035 at the high.
    Jul 2014: IUI #1 with Gonal F and Ovidrel.

    @masterofallcheese‌ was your SA noticeably lower on iui day 2? I'm afraid that although today was really good tomorrow won't be good enough. Just curious.

    Good luck

    Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF. I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).

    We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN. IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).
