Snacks for supply

Hi. I have newborn twins at home and know I need to eat umpteen million calories to eat enough to supply them. What are some snacks, foods that are easy for me to keep around. In an ideal world I would be making and gobbling up all sorts of lactatiin cookies, but to be honest, I just don't have time with the two of them to do anything of the sort.

Any other tips or tricks to help establish a supply are welcome. My pediatrician has me supplementing 1/2-1 oz after each nursing session because their billiruben was getting tio high, and the LC is already having me pump after every feed to tell my body that I need more!

  • Nuts and carrot sticks. Apple sliced dipped in PB. For meals, the crockpot is your friend. They have crockpot liners so you could make crockpot oatmeal and then a roast for dinner with no cleanup!

  • At my BF station, I kept trail mix, almonds, protein/snack bars, goldfish, pretzels, fruit snacks... I liked having variety. DH was always great about making sure I ate a good breakfast. From the fridge, I'd grab Greek yogurt, cheese sticks, veggies.
