Tingling hips :(

I have been having a tingling feeling in my hips when I lay down in bed. I know it is a pinched nerve of some sort, but it is driving me crazy! Last night I had to sleep on the couch because it was so bad in bed. I try to stretch before bed, which had been working, but it seems to be getting more persistent.

Has anyone else had this problem and/or know a way to calm the tingles?

  • Hmm, when I'm laying down on my side after a while the hip I'm laying on starts to get that pins and needles feeling like the side of my ass is falling asleep? Lol. Is this what you mean? When this happens I just roll over to the other side until happens with the other side. This pretty much happens all night.

  • My left hip has been numb and needle-y since 16 weeks. I can sometimes calm it a little by laying on the other side and shifting my weight off it but I've been told the only thing thay will really help is giving birth.

  • @imagine7696030614 yeah, that is basically what is happening. At first I could just reposition and it would go away for a while, but now it only helps for a minute or two. It seems like it is something I am just going to have to get used to :/

  • I had something similar early on before discovering I had developed sciatica. I would tingle badly and then my whole hip and leg would go numb. It was not fun, but I learned to sleep through it because it wouldn't stop.

I went to an accupuncturist for my sciatica, which is how I learned I had developed it, and now the tingling is gone.

Might be something completely different for you, though, as I had severe and debilitating pain as well.
