Random thoughts from my first day back at work after ML

It really was nice to get dressed up and put on make up this morning.  I have not had a reason to do that for a while.

It was nice to drive without a baby screaming in the back seat.

It is nice to see my CWs and have my professional identity again.

This is kiddo #2 and I have not cried at all today (I did cry a few times last week though).

I really suck at pumping - I had the same issue last time.  I have only gotten 5 oz so far and I've been gone for 5.5 hours.

Trying to be coherent on 5 hours of sleep is not easy.

I will be really excited to see my kiddos this afternoon!

    That is great!  I went back to work last week after my ML and I was  surprised how much I enjoyed getting dressed in the morning and putting on makeup. Good luck with the rest of your day/week!

    Yeah! Glad it has been a good day so far. 

    I had the same problem with pumping. I tried all the tricks (except Rx meds) and I was only ever able to pump the equivalent of an ounce an hour. Still so happy I stuck with it, even when it was frustrating. You're doing a great job! Keep it up!!

    Good for you for finding the positives!  Hope your pumping gets easier.  It was always hard to relax while pumping to get a good amount out.

    I think you will pump more as the week goes on. The first day is so hard. Good luck!

    You have a good attitude! This pretty much described me my first day back a few weeks ago. I found it much less traumatizing to go back after my second baby!

    Good luck with the pumping! And yay for positive outlooks- they always help! So do lots of photos of LO's!
