Sweaty hands and feet

So I have had hyperhydrosis since I was little... 10/11ish?? Excessively sweaty palms, feet and armpits.... Almost 100% related to anxiety and was really bad in my teens. Question: my baby has the sweatiest hands and feet all day unless sleeping. I just hope he didn't "inherit" it from me cause it's such a pain and can be embarrassing (my sister has it too so maybe genetic?) I am hoping it's just a normal baby symptom! Anyone else have this? Them or their baby? Would it show this early?

  • Hey, my sister and I also have this. When she had her baby last year, she did the research: Symptoms wouldn't show up in an infant. I think typically it begins to show in your 20's (mine did). Though my sister can remember it when she was 10-11.

  • My husband has really bad hyperhydrosis too! His hands and feet sweat uncontrollably. I've noticed Merri's hands get sweaty too, but she also grips them tight, sucks on them (so it could be slobber). We were going to ask our pedi about this at her four month check up. I'd be curious to keep tabs with you @baileymama3 on this!

  • DS does too, it really freaked me out at first but our doc said not too worry - little bodies have trouble regulating body temp in their little limbs. She said if his hands and feet look like a bad color (white, blue, purple) then we should bring him in.

  • @Cecilbear‌ thanks! I didn't think it would show this early... But was curious since it can be genetic! @PoppySeedWindsor‌ speaking of similarities.... How's the diastatis recti? I am gonna hijack my own thread! ;) mine is resolving itself and the dr was super surprised! So relieved!

  • @baileymama3 Doing well actually! I've gotten a couple of massages and been to the chiro once. I've also been using my ball to strengthen my core back up. Unfortunately, my rib is still out of place, but the pain I was having before is gone. How's yours?

Also, hijack gets my nod of approval :-)

  • DDs are both sweaty little things
  • I didn't know hyperhidrosis was a thing - but I've always been super sweating (like wear mostly black tops so sweat doesn't show...) and now my lovely husband tells DS that he has "sweaty feet like mama".

  • @Dixon813‌ black is 97% of my wardrobe! @PoppySeedWindsor‌ the diastatis is fine, but my SPD is still pretty awful as well as some drama with my urethra.... Childbirth beat my body up!!!!
