Good morning and happy Monday! Welcome to the ticker change check-in.

Big shout-out to @SuperKim13 who helmed this check-in for as long as I've been a member of PGAL. Thank you for making these threads a warm, inviting place and exhibiting genuine interest, empathy, support, and enthusiasm for each and every one of us. I have some big shoes to fill!

I apologize if my first few check-ins are a little rough, I imagine it will take me a couple tries to get the swing of things. I copy-pasted the list from the last check-in, so if I'm missing anyone below, I do apologize! EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? Oct. 27th, 25 weeks, cauliflower

Appts/ Updates? I have an appointment on Thursday, but I wish it included an ultrasound. I'm anxious to see if my placenta is moving up!

How are you feeling? Constipated, boo.

What are you craving? I was craving fruit, but I'm eating blueberries and green grapes as I type this, so craving satisfied!

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? I think museum curator would be the neatest job! I'm a real history buff so this profession has always spoken to my inner nerd. :-B

Edd/ how many weeks/fruit? This week I'm a lemon! 13 weeks, can't believe second trimester is creeping here! Appts/updates? I actually went last Thursday instead. Was having very low bp! Baby measured right on dates and nasal bone and neck measured great. I had harmony done! He said results end of this week! I hope so! Oh and finding out sex! My H can't stand the wait! Lol How are you feeling? A lot better. Dr said I need more protein since low bp. And I'm to gain 30lbs since I'm down 5. That would be like a pound a week. I can't see it happening, and afraid the dr is gonna be happy. My ds was 5lbs 8 oz at 34 weeks and I only gained 15lbs. I don't see why she is so worried? It's not vanity, the progesterone makes me have no appetite at all:( Craving: milk,milk,milk..maybe it's for the protein! Lol oh and Taco Bell twice:) QOTW: archeologist , love history and travel!

Appts/ Updates? First ultrasound on Thursday. I am quite excited!

How are you feeling? Pissy. Everything seems like so much effort lately.

What are you craving? Green grapes and Mt. Rainer cherries

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? Hippopotamus trainer. I'm almost positive this job doesn't exist and I am not sure what I would train them for, but that would be my dream job.

@deezidee04 My appt went well. My NP said I was measuring right on track (from the internal exam). They moved my due date from 2/16 to 2/13, but I am waiting for the dating ultrasound on Thursday to see what it says. I was temping, so I know my ovulation date.

@samuelismomma It's weird, when I am not pregnant, I look at food and gain weight. But it just doesn't seem to stick when I am pregnant. My son was 5lbs 12oz at 36w6days and I had GD and the u/s claimed he was 8lbs 8 ozs. Yay for finding out the sex!

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? 39 weeks...due next Monday

Appts/ Updates? My next appt is on Wed, my birthday

How are you feeling? Emotionally, miserable. Physically, my feet are really swollen and I am currently alternating b/n sweating and having the chills. It's lovely.

What are you craving? Nothing right now b/c I've had heartburn the majority of the day. But my obsession of the summer has been lemonade.

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? P/T paralegal in an immigration law firm..which is what I'm currently working toward.

Amores0121 – Are you feeling more settled into the new place? Is the nursery ready to go for your LO yet? You're so close!

We just finished moving everything around in the nursery yesterday, so I just have some misc. stuff that needs to be taken care of. Maybe 30 minutes or 1 hr left of work, and we are ready!

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit?
7/21 - 39 weeks - watermelon!

Appts/ Updates?
I have my last weekly NST tomorrow and an OB appt on Thursday. If little man doesn't make an appearance by 7/21, I will be going in for induction.

How are you feeling?
ANXIOUS!!!! the stress of waiting is definitely getting to me. I just want him here, safe in my arms. Contractions are sporadic, but seem to be increasing in intensity, so hopefully that is a good sign!

What are you craving?
My baby in my arms!

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? As I planned out my maternity leave, I found myself wishing SAHM was a possibility for me. Besides that, I always wanted to be a food critic.

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? 38 weeks, holy smokes, a pumpkin!

Appts/ Updates? Had a great appointment on Wednesday - the head down vibes worked, Superbaby seems to know the way out, but is hanging around atop my bladder until it's time. Yowch!! I did find out that I am GBS positive, but that seems not to be too big a deal. Some antibiotics for me in labor will be the least of my concerns I am sure. I also had an NST on Thursday after Superbaby became lazy baby for several hours and refused to move. We finally got the little bugger moving, though and he or she has been back up to their old antics ever since!

Also, the nursery is finished!!! Well with the exception of a few things for the walls that we will decide on after the baby arrives with their name and sex!

How are you feeling? Pretty OK. Still the occasional contraction and moving around is getting more uncomfortable and more hilarious.

What are you craving? Lemonade, ice cream, red meat

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? Catwoman? That seems like it would be a fun job!

SuperKim13 - How was your appointment on Wednesday? Did our head down vibes help? I can't believe how close you are! We all can't wait to meet Super Baby Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the wonderful vibes!! We celebrated by going to a red sox game - it was hot as heck, but it's probably our last outing like that for awhile!

Boohoo. Should be fine as long as labor doesn't start with the water breaking-then I was told I have to come in immediately.

@footprint‌ yeah it's like a diet plan! Lol my ds I thought was big for 34 wks. I mean yeah I know it was only 15lbs but he must of got to all! @princezjk‌ thanks! You are gonna be holding your little one soon! Wow how exciting

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? January 19th, 13 weeks, a peach

Appts/ Updates? Nothing until 15 weeks. I'm getting anxious.

How are you feeling? I'm not sure if I have a UTI or if things are moving around in there making it difficult to "go" all the way. I'm also feeling anxious - it's been a little bit since my NT scan (which was fabulous), and I have no reason to believe anything is wrong, but DH and I are planning on going public next week because he can't keep it in any longer, so cue the freak out.

What are you craving? Fuji apples, grilled cheese, watermelon

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? I would be a teacher, which is what I am now!

Hello everyone!

Sorry I missed last week. My little family and me had a nice relaxing stay at the cottage. No internet allowed! Also the Friday (when we came back) of course, I had to go to the hospital because the LO wasn't moving and I was freaking out. I had a NST and everything was ok and now is back to kick everywhere. He or she is still breech but since is coming via C-sec the doctor seems not concerned.

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? Still C-sec scheduled for 29th July at 8:00 am. 37 weeks, holy cow!

Appts/ Updates? Nothing really, but that is ok. I went to the OB today and everything still the same. No news is great news!

How are you feeling? BIG very big! But I am actually fine. Just very excited to meet our little one and hoping that everything ends well and she/he is healthy. I am a bit nervous for the C-sec, not big fan of surgeries and/or pills.

What are you craving? Coke. I have never been a big pop drinker, just occasionally, but I want coke so SO badly.

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? I think I am in the right spot. I love being a teacher, and I love children. I think if I really had to be something different I would like to be a parenting-child coach/educator. I am extremely patient with children and I think they need a lot of understanding and love. I won't discuss all my points of view here, but I think sometimes the adults don't realise that the children are children and that is what they need to be. I feel sad when I see parents shouting/ignoring/punishing their children. I would work to improve that relationship!!!!

Now I will go and read all the answers so I can see what has being going on the last week. I feel so lost :P

Appts/ Updates? Next appointment is 7/25 for GD test. I am starting to see visible kicks! He is very active especially at night :-)

How are you feeling? Good, excited for the baby shower on Sunday. My family is coming from NY. The reason it is a early shower is because everyone can be there. At first I was a little worried about it being just about 26 weeks but then I realized it just gives us more time to get everything ready.

What are you craving? Watermelon and chocolate cake.

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? Make up artist for movie sets. 100% I love skin care and make up. It is what I studied in college

songbirdsinging55 - Moving is no picnic, especially when pregnant! How are you settling into the new condo?
The new place is amazing! We started the nursery. It is painted. Here is the very beginning stages of the nursery project. We also now have a dishwasher which I didn't realize how great it is to just load it up and not have to worry.

Appts/ Updates? This friday for repeat u/s. blood work on thurs. fingers crossed!

How are you feeling? Exhausted and hungrynauseated.

What are you craving? Sleep. Carbs. Hamburgers. For the whole world to smell like febreze.

QOTW: If you could have any job/profession in the world, what would it be? I would be a fancy food critic and get to eat at all of the best restaurants in Chicago for free just so I would "write them up..."

@samuelismomma I made DH eat taco bell with me today, have no shame. Fx for great harmony results. Just wondering..If the results are wonky are you going to do a more invasive test? I ask because that is my only hesitation getting that done.
I had a big talk with the high risk docs about it and they were saying that if the results are indeterminate or otherwise abnormal the more invasive stuff (CVS, amnio) are then indicated....I know of a few cases where the test was positive (but the baby was normal, so a false positive) because of placental mosaicism. Based on my reading the test is not incredibly helpful if positive (it is not very specific). Anyway I'm hoping you get a stone cold negative (which a true negative on the test is very reassuring), so you don't have to think about it. I had an amnio with DD to determine if her lungs were mature and that was not any fun at all.

@chicagojackie‌ my h is very against more invasive testing. If something shows up he might change his mind, so we could educate ourselves. They did do the nt scan before and seen no soft markers. I didn't do the test with ds just the AFP and scan which showed very low risk. My dr did say my losses were not from age. My tests showed ovaries and eggs were like 20 yr old( yay! Lol) but most likely from abnormal embryo . He said some women's body just rejects them. I don't know it gives me hope, Everything is alright but you always have that pgal brain tapping you on the shoulder. It's funny my sister had same type of miscarriages and she was in twenties...odd
