Called the dr. And she said rest for the day. As long as I am not having any contractions everythings fine. Everyone at work and in my family is say it is not normal to lose it so early.... wondering if there was any one eles that this has happened to?

Actually, you can loose your mucus plug and regrow it several times during the course of your pregnancy. It's really no big deal. You're not having contractions so there is nothing to worry about.

It's not necessarily a sign of impending labor. As PP's said, it can actually regenerate and you can lose it several times. Some go into labor without losing it. Follow your docs instructions and take it easy, don't stress.

Thanks it was scary... I didnt know what it was when it happened. Especially when people were telling me its not normal and it could mean Labour. What I dont get how can it come loose like that when im not doing anything strenuous? Just blows my mind

I lost mine at 29 weeks I've had off and on loss of more small amounts of mucus since then. It regenerates.

I'm think I've lost small bits of mine 2x in the 2nd tri. Both times happened the next day after I was more physically active than usual (nothing too strenuous, just doing more chores/walking around, when usually I would just take it really easy lol). I wasn't having contractions and my cervix checked out fine so the doctor wasn't worried about it.

Guess its more normal than people think. Can this mean my LO can come early? Or is that just me having that gut feeling?

I've been loosing mine little by little for a few weeks now. It really doesn't mean much when it comes to knowing when labor will happen

I'm 28 weeks... my toddler jumped on my belly 2 weeks ago and I lost mine from the pressure. It will regenerate... don't worry. With my first baby, I was 3cm 90% effaced for 3 weeks and lost it several times. I eventually had to be induced. He had no plans on coming out.

I lost mine twice. Like lost huge hunks of gunk with blood in it. Dr wasn't concerned a bit. They can regenerate. It honestly means nothing.

What color is mucus plug and is it liquid or more mucus?

A mucus plug is just that, a glob of mucus. It can be tinged with red but thats about it. They are not a big deal at all. I've seen parts of mine and there is definitely no baby yet!
