Crane Drop Shape Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

Anyone have this? I like the look of it but its got great and horrible reviews. My poor baby keeps waking up with dry booger nose so I'm hoping this will help. Thank goodness for saline drops right now! If you happen to have other suggestions for the nose that would be great too!

  • Our ped said not to use humidifiers ling term as they cause mildew growth in the home. We just stuck to the snot sucker.

Thats interesting. Geez! There's so much to consider. She hates the snot removal. I was trying to avoid that. Ha! I guess a minute of suction is better than mildew. Thanks!

  • We have two cheap cool mist humidifiers and they do get slimy and nasty SO quickly.
  • They really do sound like a huge pain in the ass. I might be rethinking this altogether. I may just get one for when she's sick only. Hmmm....

  • I have the Crane drop humidifier. Our pediatrician reccommended a cool vapor humidifier. It works great, we used it in our main living area when we had really hot dry Santa Ana winds. Mold and mildew aren't really an issue in this home and climate. It does have to be cleaned weekly.
  • I have the drop shape humidifier. I used it for most of my entire pregnancy because my nose was really dry. I really liked it, but if you crank it up all the way, it makes the surrounding carpet damp and that's nasty.

You don't have it on the ground do you?
  • Yeah I think it says in the instructions not to put it on the ground, or on wood tabletops. I've never cranked it up that far... LO's nursery has wallpaper so I've been cautious. I never noticed the room feeling damp though, just cool and comfortable.
