update... TMI.. Trouble emptying bladder?

I just put in a call to my Ob just to check (because I'm "that" patient!) but I figured I would ask here. I never had the "pee all the time" symptom until now (13 weeks) and it seems like my bladder is insanely full, like to the point that it hurts, but when I go, I have difficulty emptying my bladder quickly/all the way. I'm sure that this is probably just stuff shifting around in there and not a UTI, but I also get some cramping after urinating. Is this anything further along ladies are experiencing?

Update: I just left the lab. My OB wants to check for a UTI, so I went and had the urinalysis done. Should know more later! Better safe than sorry :) Thanks for your thoughts on this!

    This happened to me at 13 weeks-when I went for the NT scan, the (4) techs who were trying to get the measurements kept insisting I had to empty my bladder and when I would try, would produce very little, but kept feeling...pressure, I suppose. Shortly after that, I noticed I was urinating much more frequently, and feeling some cramping. I took an OTC UTI test and it was positive for leukocytes. I was put on Macrobid and it has since cleared up. May be worth looking into in case it is the beginnings of an UTI as was in my case.

    We are exact dates:) I would call I have the busting to pee feeling but no trouble going or cramping. I think it could be start of uti:( I had one that started that way with ds..like pp said it's their job! Good luck:)

    Try leaning forward - like at a 90 degree angle - when you are going to the bathroom. The google said that should help get more out and, as it happens, the google was right this time.

    this has happened to me on and off!! more so now as i am 38 weeks pregnant. my bladder feels full and i rush to the loo and only a trickle comes out! i have had all the tests and all come back negative. i have been told its the baby sitting on my bladder. so now, when i need to pee i ROCK BACK AND FORTH on the toilet seat ha ha LIFT MY BELLY UP , LEAN BACK , and sometimes if you stand up a little more will trickle out. its a mission!! ahhh the joys of pregnancy. hope this helps xx

    I've been having a similar issue for a week now. I'm 14.5 weeks. When ever I get up in the middle of the night to go pee, I know have a full bladder, but it's really hard to get anything out. According to Dr Google it's because baby is stitting on my urethra and blocking things off. I have to do an akward downward dog postition and jiggle, and then I'm able to slowly empty my bladder.

    I had an app today with my doctor and he pretty much said the same thing as google. He's checking me for a UTI, though, just to make sure. For me it seems the fuller my bladder is the harder it is to go. So I'm trying to go more frequently, even if it feels like I don't have to go yet.

OB did not think my symptoms were related to pregnancy but I do. They "magically" went away after a few weeks. I think it was my uterus expanding and causing bladder issues. Never hurts to call the doc but it's probably normal if you don't have any burning or pain.
    I remember reading how frustrated you were. Your o/b put you on antibiotics based on your OTC urine strips, or did she test you in office as well? Before I was diagnosed, my urine was sent out for urinalysis and culture, I wasn't just given a script.

    Had the urinalysis and it came back clean. Looks like it's just the position of everything right now. I have to say, my OB office is amazing - the nurse called me back (noticing my anxiety ramping up) and asked if I wanted a quick Doppler check tomorrow am since I am traveling Friday to CA from MA. Love them!

    Glad everything turned out okay and that your OB offered a quick doppler check :) score!!
