Good morning, ladies. It's been just over a month since my third and most recent loss, and I'm ready to start pondering trying again.
Just a little about my journey: My husband and I were elated that we were able to conceive after only 2 months of trying immediately after our wedding last June. We went in for our first ultrasound to discover the devastating loss- they baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks, but I was supposed to be about 8 1/2 weeks along at that time. We opted to let my body miscarry naturally, which happened at about 11 1/2 weeks or so. After waiting the suggested 2 months, we got pregnant the first month we tried. After a couple weeks of joy, I started spotting and an ultrasound revealed another loss- the doctor termed it a "chemical pregnancy." We began seeing an RE who was unable to find any reason why we had possibly miscarried after running a variety of tests, so he put me on a progesterone supplement as a proactive measure, and we began trying again. Two months later, we were pregnant- third time's a charm was what I kept telling myself! It seemed as though this little one was going to be our rainbow- healthy blood tests, two amazing ultrasounds with heartbeats and a wiggly baby, listening to the heartbeat on the fetal doppler at home... we were then dismissed to my OB. Our first appointment with her at 11 1/2 weeks revealed that our little one had passed only a few days before
The doctor suggested a d&c, on 6/10 we said goodbye to our baby. Testing revealed that our baby was a little girl who had a T21 abnormality. I can't even put into words the emotions I've struggled with for the last month
Moving forward, we are back to seeing the RE who wants to do an ultrasound with a scope to look for fibroids. My first AF came yesterday, so I imagine that appointment will be early next week. We've also been referred to a genetic counselor- the appointment is on the 22nd. I haven't had the "when can we try again" conversation with any of my doctors because I wasn't quite ready to think about that yet. Now that AF is here, I'm faced with realization that I could get pregnant again. I'm thankful to have this board and you all for support as I begin (again) this emotional journey.

I, too, am having a hysteroscopy & ultrasound this week to look for polyps or any structural issues (I've had 3 losses as well). I'll report back about how it goes.
@BookishMomma- So sorry for your losses- I think we were both "third time's a charm" PGAL's? I hope your appointment goes well- I appreciate you sharing.

On to IVF #1 with a new RE. Started Gonal F and Menopur on 8/15. Added Ganirelix on 8/24. Trigger on 8/26 for ER on 8/28. 8R 7M 3F. Transferred all 3 on 8/31. BFP on 9/11 | EDD 5/20/15 - Beta #1: 56.7. Beta #2: 97. Beta #3: 1148. Beta #4: 3559. Beta #4: 7678. MMC confirmed on 10/13. D&C on 10/14 at 9w. Confirmed male with Trisomy 14.

@sfazar- My OB didn't really believe in early blood testing either; after my second loss I began seeing an RE, who is all about early testing. I pray that you do not experience another loss, but if you do and are interested in looking further into the why and exploring preventative measures, ask your OB if he/she would refer you to a Reproductive Endocrinologist. THANK YOU for the congratulations!!
