Trouble TTC

Endometriosis and ovulation?

Just found out I have level 3 Endo- thankfully it was just layered off in a lap.
I am recovering well at home, just waiting for my re appt next week to get some answers. I was wondering if anyone had any info about how Endo can impact ovulation? I don't have PCOS but I don't ovulate and we still aren't are why. I was hoping the Endo might be related in some way I haven't been told about yet. Any experiences would be helpful to know about TIA

Re: Endometriosis and ovulation?

  • From my knowledge, it would impact ovulation if the endo was located around the ovaries.  I just had a tiny bit, so it hasn't really impacted ovulation.  Do you know where most of your endo was located?  They should let you know in the post-op the areas where they removed most of it.

  • I was diagnosed with Endo about 13 years ago. I have been TTC for about a year and I have been having ovulation issues. (example: out of 9 months I have had one Positive Ovulation kit) I have seen my Doctor about it  and because no case of Endo is the same its hard to say what is causing it. The years of BC to control the condition. The fact that (in my case) its been 13 years since my last lap to clean out the Endo. We are running some tests now to see what could be the main issue. I am trying to avoid another Lab.

But we shall see. My sister also had Endo so my family is used to the trials and tributes but on a good note there is so much more out there to help Endo suffers to conceive.

Its the waiting and fighting the symptoms while you are trying that seems to be my issue.

Good Luck! I hope that is helpful! Sometimes it helps to know you are not alone in all of this.
