I did not pass the 3 hour - but as I understand it, I am actually the rarity. A lot more women tend to fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 hour. It can really go either way - do you know what your number was?
I tested early at 18 weeks due to my weight. I failed the 1 hr (my office uses 135 as their threshold and I got a 145) and passed the 3 hr. I went back at 28 weeks for the 1 hr and passed.
I failed my one hour and passed my three hour with my first pregnancy. It's very common to fail the one hour.
This time I also failed the one hour and took the three hour last Thursday. I haven't heard anything from the doc so I suspect I passed. I went in fully expecting to pass as I barely failed the one hour (148).... the line is either 130 or 140 depending on the lab. Outright diabetes is 200 and between 140 and 200 is "consider dietary changes" territory.
I failed the one hour with a 192, which is crazy high, but passed the 3 hour with three out of four good draws. At mine, they test the blood right away so you find out seconds after the finger prick whether you passed or failed. I was a ball of sweat and nerves last Friday doing that dang test!
I did with my first pregnancy, failed the one hour and passed the three hour with flying colors. From what the nurse told me it's very common to fail the one hour and for whatever reason pass the three hour.
My doc said nationwide only 5% get gd overall in the US. I also know there are many practices that skip the one hour due to high false positive results. Out of everyone I know, only one person had it and was a marathon runner.
I failed my 1 hour with my first pregnancy and passed the 3 hour, I dont remember what my numbers were. I passed the 1 hour this time, though I was expecting to fail it.
I must be the only person that had a 2-hour test from the start. Find out tomorrow how it went. I wonder why so many places ask for the 1-hour if it's slightly typical to fail it. Why not just order a longer one from the get go??
Failed my one hour test on Monday (141 when my doctor's office cut off is 139) Currently at a lab for my 3-hour.

Thank you so much for posting this with your number - My mom had GD that stuck around permanently, and I just had my 1 hour with a score of over 180. Hearing that someone else with a really high 1-hour result passed the 3-hour is giving me hope.... we'll see next Thursday.

I failed my 1 hour with a 147. Going in this morning to take the 3 hour but I've been up a lot of the night feeling nauseous. Hoping this doesn't affect the numbers too much!

I just wanted to also share that I got the great news that I passed my 3 hour test, despite a miserable failure of the 1 hour at 182. It is possible, even with a high 1 hour screen score that your body is processing sugar okay overall, so keep up that optimism if you're waiting for the diagnostic test!
Re: Glucose test question
Edited to update. I passed!

FX for you on your three hour!
Just once. It's 100g of glucose as opposed to 50g for the one hour.
