Share your embarrassing moments at prenatal appointments here, inspired by my embarrassing moment today.

I've been so hot lately, and I was sitting there on that paper liner, naked from the waist down. My doctor was running behind, and I sat there getting warmer and warmer, and sweating more and more. When she finally came in, she had me scoot down so she could check my cervix. The paper tore and came with me, all wet and stuck to my butt. It's already awkward having your whole business on display, and now there I was, a sweating mess with paper stuck all over me.

LOL the damp sticky liner paper happens to me at appts these days, too. Don't feel bad LOL.

No good stories here, because I tend not to get embarrassed at the OB's. Dunno why. It's all so awkward anyway, I guess I'm kind of desensitized.

Every time I have to give a urine sample and can't see "down there" anymore so I pee all over my hand and the cup. Every Single Time.

Nothing embarrassing has happened yet but ask of they will out a chux pad down on top of the paper. My doc always has a chux down. It's more sanitary as well as comfortable and no more sticky paper vag.

The office is always really warm (plus I'm always really warm) and then they are feeling all around my belly and apologizing for their cold hands or cold gel, and I'm like "well, my stomach is kind of sweaty so at this point, it just feels nice."

I've had that happen to me before with the paper sticking to my butt. Always a lovely feeling.

I farted in my OB's face when I was delivering DS2. That was awesome.

During one of my early internal u/s's at the RE, they had a new u/s tech getting used to the equipment...so the PA was in there with her to help. Well, they were trying to get a glimpse of my right ovary, but the tech was having a hard time. She kept pushing upward and putting ALL sorts of pressure on my large intestine...I was holding on to a fart for dear life. When the PA noticed she was having difficulty, she came over, took one look and said that I had a "healthy" bowl movement blocking the picture.

Idk why, but I felt so bad that they had to wait for my poop to move out of the way.

@MermaidsMagic The exact same thing happened to me. I went in at 37 weeks convinced my water had broken. They brought me up in a wheelchair, my OB was called in on a Saturday, and nope, amniotic fluid test was negative. I left in total embarrassment.

I was so nervous about being sent away again that I practically had to be dragged in when I actually was in labor. I was worried it was false labor, but DD was born about 6 hours later!

This is back to my appointments with my RE. Anyways, the day of my successful IUI my DH had done "his part". So they told me strip, get on the table, and you know get ready. Anyways my nurse that was doing the procedure was in the room and got everything ready. Then another nurse walked in with my dh's sample. The nurse doing the procedure took it, and was all ready then asked my DH his social security number. (It is to confirm his sample is his, and didn't get mixed with someone elses.) He was totally spacing and completely forgot, couldn't remember for anything.
So I'm laying here hips up, feet in the stirrups. In walks another nurse, and then a office worker to help him remember. It felt like forever, and I was a little hesitant. I guess it was much more awkward then embarrassing.

totally get stuck to the paper all the time, I have a sweaty butt.

No worries ladies on the amniotic fluid vs. pee thing it happens all the time and its no biggie. And sometimes its just copious runny mucous. The joys of the end of term. I always feel bad telling the moms that its not amniotic fluid though, because most people feel embarrassed, but I swear, its no biggie to us! Figuring out if you are leaking fluids isn't really always easy and it most certainly is rarely the Hollywood movie explosion.

Here's one - When I was in labor with DD, the night before she was born, I felt like I needed to poop. I think I was hooked up to an IV? So when I asked the nurse if I could go to the bathroom, she said I couldn't use the restroom but she'd get me a portable one. It looked kind of like a walker with a little porcelain seat. She insisted it was fine, but that I had to use that rather than going to all the way over to the attached bathroom.

So, I pooped in a bucket while a nurse waited for me. *sigh*
