DS2 will sleep through extremely loud construction noise, but if I take a deep breath his eyes pop right open. Anyone else have any silly things that wake up babies?
I'll add:
The home button on my iPhone A loud sip of a hot drink
This isn't a sound, but if I ever try to paint my nails when the boys are napping, they tend to wake up, regardless of how long ago I put them down. I jinx myself every time.....or just paint my nails really loudly (?????) )
My kids can sleep through one of them screaming their heart out in the crib about four feet away from them for a surprisingly long span of time, but the second the buckle of the nursing pillow clicks shut, the eyes snap open and they scramble to their feet.
I swear, to a baby the snap of a nursing bra must be like the locks on a jail cell to an inmate. Except in this prison, it's really the warren that is trapped.
Someone needs to invent a silent nursing bra - you'd be a millionaire! I'd also give stacks of cash to anyone who can invent something to help me get my arm out from under my baby after I put her in the crib. Sometimes I just stand there with one arm under her, contemplating my escape and thinking about that guy who cut his own arm off when it was trapped between two rocks.
My DS always wanted somebody's hand on his chest. He would wake up no matter how carefully you removed your had. We said we were going to invent a creepy arm to just lay on his chest when we walked away. Maybe it could work for your problem?
For us, it is the jingling of the dog collar in the mornings. For whatever reason, DS will sleep through thunderstorms and alarm clocks, but the jingle of the dog collar is his sign to get up.
My kids hear dh shut the door on his way out and they are up! Nevermind the shower two feet outside their door or the espresso machine or the dog being crazy, just daddy leaving. It's like they know I'm on my own then....
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

Yes! If the kids are going to sleep late then great. If not Id just as soon have them up early enough for DH to help with the tooth brushing, potty, breakfast chaos.
DS wakes up without fail any time I turn the dryer on... The thing is, it's in the basement on the opposite side of the house... How and why he wakes up to it is beyond me!!!!

Wakes from a creaky floor board, dog collar sound, or nursing bra click.
