most of the time i would say "tessa needs to eat" but sometimes i tell kiddo "tessa's drinking her milkies" (ridiculous name, i know.... it's leftover from his word for breastmilk at a year and a half). drinking is only said in that exact phrasing. anything else is eating or nursing.
I use both. But I agree with the above poster, you will never here me using the word "feed". It sounds so carnal. I also get grossed out when there is a "spaghetti feed" or "pancake feed" advertised. Like, could you make it sound any more like a bunch of people lined up at a communal trough, stuffing their faces. I'll pass.

Hehe, I say "milkies" too. I blame my mom and my sister...everything has -ies at the end. Whoopsies!
But I'm SS: if she's nursing, she's eating. If it's a bottle, she's drinking. Same stuff either way, but I call it different things. Never realized it until the poll though.
