New book that sound like a fun read

On FB today I was just checking out my latest news feeds. There was an article from The Wall Street Journal: Why French Parents Are Superior.  I’m a worldly girl so I read it, well I’ve got a Half-French boyfriend and a cousin that lives there so all it had to say was “French” anything.

Anyways, it was written by an American women living in Paris with her British Husband. After reading the first 3-4 paragraphs I was caught by it. I totally want to be that French-like parent because the ideas it outlined are the way I want to go with my little girl. I want to bring her up to be that well-behaved toddler but without lashing out myself. I can’t stand watching parents smack their little ones in stores. I don’t ever want to be that mother who is so stung out that I react to my little one that way.

I’m actually going to buy the book the women has written, Bringing Up Bébé: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting. To find out what she had found out about French parenting compared to American parenting. It’s meant to be published on Tuesday so I’ll be keeping an eye out for it.

    Well, not spam! Yet, I'm cool if no body wants to talk about it. If that is the case you can do what you with post. Seeing how I'm getting crap about my bad grammar, can't wait to see what I would get for my spelling. Second time I'm getting crap for somewhat of a post that doesn't seem to fit.

    See attack me because I called you out! Sorry but I have nothing to give yet! I'm pregnant with my first and haven't had a bad pregnancy. I've really not had a lot of time on message boards but now it feels very unfriendly to just talk. If it's such and old book why is the print paper book on pre-order?

    @MissMusic‌ Yeah, I researched it abit more. It was my mistake to assume most people waited like I do for the paperback to come out. It's not people disagreeing it's, nevermind, doesn't matter. Pointless now!

    I don't know if you've noticed from the other posts here but there's actually no baby or even pregnancy prerequisite to post here. And parenting- related posts are not that common, lol.

    So, welcome OP! Come play.

    Yes, you are welcome to stay here but if you want more baby talk, try the trimester boards or your birth month board. This is where most of us escape the baby talk.

    @triplea598‌ I actually thought you were one of the nicer ones! I was fine with you just saying "No" as I felt like you where using the old "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." You were just saying No. 

    At first, I thought the main reason was because it was sort of saying that the French made better parents. So, of course why would really want to discussion that. Well you know what I mean. 

    You see the only other board that I'm on is on a mental health site for my ADD. It's a pretty cool set up. I think the doctor guy who runs it used Proboards. Anyways, as a member you have like a Facebook profile page like here but a little different and there is even a chat room. So, we all know each other that way. Plus, there is one board the use just for introductions. This where my mistake here was made.
