38 weeks b/b induced tomorrow

Long time lurker new poster.  I want to say I have enjoyed reading and learning alot here over the last several months so thank you to all the active posters as its helped me keep my sanity.

Hubs has spent the weekend nesting for me so I can rest and be ready. <3 I really wanted them to come on their own so I could jump into this with out time to think on it but oh well now I am building up a little anxiety.  Dr spent months telling me all his twin moms have gone into labor early and I knew from twins in my family what to expect in that regard. I also told him my medical history is to be the opposite of whats expected so I figured they will hang on to the end and refuse to come.  He couldn't believe how right i was.

I have been instructed to eat a piece of toast Monday morning and be at the hospital at 7 am. and should have both by 7 pm.  The boys have been fighting more and more lately and i think it feels like they are both wanting to be 1st out and that they block each other. My concern is they do this tomorrow and I and up with a c section or they dont come out in the expected order and end up with the wrong name.

Thanks for letting me get this out here as typing is easier for me and if i try to talk it out I just end up crying all crazy lol.

Um… maybe this is me and the fact I'm not having twins, but since you haven't met them yet, is there honestly a "right" and "wrong" name?  Not trying to be snarky, this just seems a little twitchy.  I mean, I would hedge my bet that at least once during your pregnancy, you thought baby A was doing something and it really was baby B.  I guess I'm saying maybe not to worry so much about this and just let it go?  You'll have plenty more else on your plate besides worrying about babies "fighting" in utero.

  • yea i know it sounds silly but they do have very different personalities.  For example last night watching tv I came across a music special for BB King and baby B moves alot to blues music so he pushed his bum up high as it could go and was boppin it back and forth to the beat.  Baby A does this but more to 90's rock music.  Baby A gets the hiccups 3-5 times a day and I have never felt B have them.  Baby A is very calm and passive but baby B has been very aggressive and kicks his brother alot and I dont mean small light kicks but more I feel him slam his brother so hard it looks like he could almost knock him out the side of me.  They also react different to mine or dads touch as baby a snuggles up to our hands and baby B kicks and pushes and moves away.  I think a will be a cuddlier and b will be more independent.

Sure there are times they both get a little wiggly and its hard to tell in the middle but they are very specifically played one on left one on right leaning against me like my belly is a hammock. I think due to position it makes it easier to tell most movements. My dr was thrilled at my 37 week apt that they have maintained these positions as it means we can use 2 external monitors because there is no confusion who is who unlike most of his twins where he needs internal for 1 and external for the other.
