Would you rather: clothing size question

So I happen to stumble upon little but of mulah for some clothes shopping. Issue is I'm in between sizes and have full intentions of rigorous weight loss once I start to feel better. Question is:

Would you rather buy a size up and be safe to fit into clothes now and just buy smaller size once weight loss is achieved?

Or spend money on a size down so that you are motivated to lose weight?

  • @magentawarped‌ thanks. I actually was gifted a huge gift coupon for a large departmental store that sells women's clothing hence it's a use or lose deal. Hence the dilemma :-) however see your point about fashion and fit etc.
  • I would spend the money on clothes that fit you now and make you feel good now. Depending on the quality of the clothes, if you find things you love, they could maybe be altered if/when you lose the weight and need a smaller size. I agree with not buying clothes in a smaller size for all of the reasons @magentawarped mentioned.

I agree with get what fits right now. But also treat yourself to some things where size won't matter/change- eg hand bags, shoes, statement necklaces :)
  • I'm in the same in-between-sizes boat. I'm just buying what fits now and will have things taken in when I drop a few more pounds. I tend to spend more on the basics: pants , skirts, blazers and wear them for years, so it's worth it to me to spring for alterations.
