Going up nipples ?

When you transition to the next level nipple are you doing all bottles at once. I ask because LO takes some 4oz bottles and some 6oz bottles. I think level 3 nipple on a 4oz bottles would have her chugging it like I did beer in college.

Re: Going up nipples ?

  • This made me think of (^)(^)

I feel like a 10 year old boy.

We moved all bottles to the same flow nipple at the same time. I did it because I didn't want to be confused.

  • Oh I didn't even think about him being confused. We use a mix of level 2 and 3.
  • Yeah, I should put more thought into this thread title.
We just tried the level 3 and she powered thru that bottle at warp speed. DH says since she handled it to switch them all. I am hesitant. She's not frustrated with level 2 yet. At least when she is drinking she's not crying. Why again would we want fussbucket to eat faster?

We are still on 1s, but she seems to eat relatively quickly already (15ish minutes for 6oz)

ETA: but, I would switch them all at once. When we got bigger bottles, they came with 2s, and DH accidentally used one of those one time when we were at nephew's baseball game. It wasn't pretty.

  • @JackieP1023‌ my husband considers that impossibly slow! We're arguing. She finished 6oz in less than 5 minutes.
  • I don't know much about this, but 5 minutes seems fast!

  • I know! I think too fast. He's lazy and impatient feeding her. Kids are work dude! They're going to take up your free time!
  • We still use premie nipples.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!

  • @JessWhatINeeded‌ yeah, 5 minutes seems awful fast! One thing that has helped us is she has started to hold her own bottle. We basically put her hands on it, and she gets a death grip on it, so we have a free hand to do whatever we are doing.

I would think eating that fast wouldn't be good. It isn't good for bigger people to eat so fast, I don't think it would be any better for babies!
