Hello all!

Have any of you experienced being especially emotional right before labor? Like before a period but to the extreme!? If so what was it like and how soon did you go into labor after?

I'm not a stm, I have my 4 month old son though so I can tell you about my first time! I wasn't at all emotional, just tired and ready to meet my son. I was actually in a pretty good mood for most of the pregnancy... including right at the end!

Yes, I was a moody basket case the last month with my first daughter and even longer with this one. Physically I feel terrific but i am very easily saddened or angered/annoyed !

not before delivery, but i was an emotional mess after for the first week or so.

I don't remember being particularly moody until I had been in labor roughly 12 hours and dh suddenly wanted to take a shower before going to the hospital... /:) In his defense, he had just gotten off work. Otherwise I had several friends who worked nights (lifesavers they were), so I spent a lot of time on the phone being kept in good spirits.

I was a bit emotional toward the end just because I was uncomfortable and insanely tired. When my water broke I remained surprisingly calm through the whole process. I was definetly more emotional after DD came. Bleeding and pain + not getting any sleep in the hospital + not knowing what the hell to do with this new little person = way more to deal with emotionally.

With my first I was really good emotionally until the night before I went into labor. I had been having false labor, and it stopped and I got really upset. Then my water broke about 24 hours later which started real labor for me.
