How often are you having them done? Whole family or just baby?

    We got a package that included newborn, 6-month, and 1 year shots. The majority of the pictures are LO, but there are a few with H and I.

    We had newborns done, and it just happened that we had family portraits done when he turned 3 months.

    We signed up for a baby club through a local photographer- nb, 3 mos, 6 mos, 9 mos, 12 mos, no sitting fee on every birthday from 2 yrs and on. We had a family shot 2 yrs ago, but it's time for another, since we've added two more family members since then. Ideally, I'd like to have professional family pictures done each year, but I don't see it happening that often.

    We had such a horrible experience at JCpenny with this daughters NB pictures i don't know what we'll do in the future.

    we didn't have any professional photography of kiddo or our family until he was almost 2 years old, then we had a big rush of photography (a few mini sessions with just him, a family session, a multi-generational family session with my whole family, a family wedding, a lifestyle maternity session and a lifestyle newborn session with our whole family).  we're kind of sick of getting photography of ourselves at this point, so we'll not doing anything else until next summer when tessa is just over a year old.  my goal is to get a family session yearly from here on out.

    We never did family photos until DS was about 4 and then it was our whole extended family at the beach, with just a few pictures of just me, DH and DS. I think we have done two other family photo sessions since then. The only professional pictures of DS are his newborn photos, one year photos, and then the crappy school and sports pictures since then. For DD we just have her newborn photos so far.

    I don't really have a plan for the future - I just schedule something when the mood strikes.

    I do them whenever I visit my family, which is about every 6-9 months. My sister is a professional photographer so she does them for free and sends the files to me and I print what I want wherever it's cheapest.

    We did newborn and 3 months so far. We will do 6, 9, and 12 month as well.  Most of them are of DS but I also want some a few family shots at each session as well.  I'm not sure what we will do after 12 months.  At least yearly though. I am obsessed with pictures!

    I'm doing weekly pics my self for as long as I can keep it up then maybe ill spread it to monthly then yearly.

    No professional photos yet. I may have my wedding photographer do a family shoot
