...when your son's spinning lands him a trip to the ER for a dog bite.

He was spinning (shocker) and landed on the dog. Our dog is amazing with the kids, I know he just reacted to something that hurt/surprised him.

DS is fine. Didn't even need stitches.

I'm sorry you had to deal with it. Glad your son is okay. We had a trip for encouraging him to jump off furniture. Because, you know, typical kids do it. Bent his toes under on landing. That was a long night with very little time to prep him for things like x-rays.

I hear you. Typical two year olds spin, too, but not for as long as he does or as frequently. Quite an evening. As an added bonus DH is at sea so I was solo in the ER with both at their bedtime. DS did well. Didn't follow directions when they asked himto do stuff... but at least he was calmish while we waited and such.

Been there (twice now) not dog related but other injuries related to her low muscle tone and poor balance causing a bad fall and then a fall while I was holding her during a meltdown (she knocked us off balance).

I have a spinner. I got him a tear drop shaped swing from IkEA. He twists himself enough to spin like a crazy monkey.

This wasn't my first rodeo either. He was in for a laceration around Thanksgiving as well. Clunked his head on a furniture corner.
