My LO is 3 months old. She used to eat like 9 times a day. She recently got put on Zantac for reflux and she hasn't been nursing as much. Maybe like 7 times a day. Is it normal For babies to start nursing less as they get older? She also used to comfort nurse and for the past 5 days she has been fightin that and fussy at the boob
DD was 3 months on the 5th and nurses about 7 times a day, usually only one side sometimes a little on the second side. And it is normal that they nurse less as the get older.
About 10-12 feedings and Andrew is 11 weeks. Usually 2-3x at night and every hr and a half during day. Edit: one side typically unless I am producing less by nighttime.

DS nurses like clockwork. Typically 6 am, 9:30, 1:00, 4:15, 7:00 and again and 9:00. Then, he sleeps through the night until 6 am. He usually eats for about 10 minutes each side during a feeding, totaling 20 minutes.
I don't really know! I never count... is that bad? The number definitely changes from day to day. I would estimate somewhere in the 6 to 8 feedings range.
It varies too! (Are you noticing a theme?) i'd say I'm about 50/50 with one-sided vs two sided feedings.
10 wks old, 8-10 feedings a day at about every 2 hrs other than a 5-7 hour sleep stretch at night. He spends about 2.5-3 hrs per day on the boob (I only know this because my phone app totals it up) so usually about 20 mins per feeding. We just started feeding one sided a few weeks ago. I had an oversupply problem so switching after 10 minutes to the other side was exacerbating the issue.
Similar to MamaFantastic I don't really keep track, but probably close to every 2-3 hours. He does one side a feeding and has a preferred side too. Which means I am incredibly lopsided, though I think we are on the mend with that... Fingers crossed!
DD usually nurses 7 times a day. In the morning she only nurses on one side, in the afternoon she'll usually do both. The time really varies - as short as ten minutes or as long as 30. She definitely comfort nurses when she' s tired so those sessions are longer.
ETA: She'll be 12 weeks tmrw.
13 weeks and about 7 times a day on both sides. Since I went back to work she's been nursing a lot longer so I increased what I put in her bottles and hope that helps.
3 mths tomorrow, Jack has gone from nursing on both sides to usually just 1 at a time, prob. 7-8x/day. He's definitely become a more efficient eater with age, so the time has decreased
She's 10 wks, and a one-sided feeder. Nursing sessions get longer later in the day as my supply goes down, but can be anywhere from 10-45 min. She nurses every 2-3 hrs during the day, with one 4-8hr stretch at night, about 8ish feedings in a 24hr period.

LO is 14 weeks and since I work full time, she nurses a lot when she is with me. I would say 10ish times a day. Sometimes it's both sides and other times it's 1 side. During the week, when I'm at work she nurses first thing in the morning, takes 4 bottles at daycare, nurses twice before bed and wakes up twice in the MOTN.

My daughter is 10 weeks. About every 2-3 hours with 6-8 hours of sleep at night. It adds up to about 6-8 times per day, one side and varies in time from 15-45 minutes.
DD is 11 weeks and for the past 2 weeks it's been 6 times in 24hrs. This is down from about 10! Usually both sides but occasionally only one. For those whose LO always eat one side, do you pump the other side? Or just pick up with it next time?
@lcr23 - nursing a lot longer when you are home is more about missing mom than about needing more milk. I went through it with DS and have been reminding DH to expect it with this LO too (I go back tomorrow).
I work full time. Days I work 5-6 plus pumping 4 times. Most days I'm home it's around ten. She was miserable yesterday and did 18. She's almost 16 weeks and only does one sided feedings. I don't usually count, if she wants to nurse then we nurse.

My DS is very similar to this. He nurses 6 times a day, very close to these times. He always eats on both sides, about 20 minutes total. He is 14 weeks old.

I don't really keep track. Sometimes she eats on one side, other times she eats on both. Sometimes every hour, other times every 2.5. She will snack to put herself to sleep at times, and usually falls asleep nursing around 9 or 10 PM and "dreamfeeds" at 5 or 6 AM without really waking up.
LO is 11 weeks old and she nurses between 6-8 per day. She eats about every 3 hours and has 1 MOTN feeding. She also feeds one sided although I am trying to get my slacker left boob to keep up with righty so I try to start her on the left occasionally to help stimulate production.
I just asked this question in a different forum. Guess I should have looked here first. My little guy will be 3 months old on Saturday. He eats around 10 times a day. Usually about every two hours with one four hour stretch at night. Each session lasts between 7-15 minutes usually. I do one sided feedings. Rarely is he unsatisfied and needs the other side.
DS is 3 months old. Up until 13 weeks he would nurse ever hour during the day and every 2-3 hours at night (no naps and very little night sleeping). Usually one-sided feedings, but sometimes both late afternoon and evenings. So he was eating over 12x a day for 13 weeks. Some days or hours it was 30 mins on, 15 off.
Magically last Thursday he started napping, eating every 2-3hrs during the day and only waking to eat 1-2 times at night. I'm back to one-sided feedings for all or most. I'd say he eats 8-10x a day now. Like PP's I don't track given how often he eats.

I think I feed him about 10 times in 24h. I've never kept track, but that seems about right...roughly every 2 hours during the day, and every 3-4 at night. He typically only has one side at a time.
I just realized I have no clue how many weeks he is. He'll be 3 months on the 20th, so...12 weeks? 11? I'm awful.

8-10 times per day?? I don't count
One-sided
She sttn and has a long nap during the day, so right now that means when she's awake it's lots of snacking and nursing.
