Bacterial Vaginosis??

so when I went for my OB appointment at 8 weeks she did cultures and I got a call a few days later that I tested positive for Bacterial Vaginosis.  The nurse said it was common and I was prescribed a vaginal gel to use for 5 days then they will test me again later.  I was out of town so I just started using the gel yesterday.  I was an idiot an googled  and now I am worried.  Any ladies with experience on this?  I know leaving it untreated can cause issues with the pregnancy such as preterm labor etc...

Me:36 DH:38 TTC#1 since 4/2012
Me DX: Hashimotos,Hypothyroid, DOR, MTHFR,  DH: normal

 IUI #1-#4 BFNs and a few cancelled cycles in the mix.
- poor responder
***Suprise BFP on 6/13/13. Natural MC @6wks 3days
IVF#1 and 2- Cancelled due to no response on max stimms
FET 5/20- BFP
1st Beta- 641
2nd beta- 2166
Sono- TWINS!!!!
Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    I was diagnosed with BV at 11 weeks. Did the vaginal gel. I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant and did not have any further issues. I think as long as you treat ir you should not be concerned.

August 2014: Baby girl arrives! February 2016: Ready for #2 May 2016: starting again with clomid, ovidrel trigger June 2016:  BFP!!! EDD: 2/21/16

    I was treated with the gel around 14 weeks. The infection can lead to preterm labor, so it's really important to treat. I looked online after I was prescribed the gel too and shouldn't have! Everything is fine with my baby though!
