Potty training with a new baby

Anyone have any experience potty training a toddler with a new baby in the house? I know it will be difficult to make a dash for the bathroom if I am feeding or changing the baby.. Should I keep a potty in the playroom or just in the bathroom and hope we can make it in time? Any tips or advice? I think we will try to start potty training right after her 2nd birthday (she is showing some signs of readiness but the end of July & August are crazy busy so I don't want more stress on either of us), so the baby will be 4.5 months. Thanks!

    I potty trained DD at 26 mos and DS was about 6 mos which meant he could sit up by himself or go in the jumperoo or whatever.  It wasn't too bad.  By 4.5 mos you will be somewhat on a schedule. 

    I never used a little potty but just put a ring on our big potty which meant DD always needed help. Sometimes that meant putting DS down in the middle of nursing but I always gave DD a warning that I was about to start feeding DS and if she needed to go here was her chance.  I know we had a few accidents where I was feeding him but it wasn't too bad.  I think that's honestly a good age to try it.  In a couple more months the baby could be mobile and that would complicate things.  GL!

    @Erin KM‌ I decided to wait a little while because we are doing a lot of traveling over the next 6 weeks, so I just thought it was a little ambitious to expect her to adjust to driving all over and being newly potty trained. She might do fine with it, but I didn't want to risk it.

    We currently have a little potty in her play room and she asks to sit on it sometimes, but its usually when she sees it and remembers it's there. @ashiscute‌ That's a good point about starting it before DD2 becomes mobile. That's also a good idea about giving her a warning before I start feeding DD2.
