Anyone have experience with crystals in their LOs urine? This has been an issue since LO was born. They are clear and don't seem to cause her any discomfort. I've read it may 've due to dehydration. LO is one who only takes in small amounts of food & liquid at a time. I offer, but if she doesn't want it, she's not having it.

    I brought it up when she was little. She said that it was probably some dehydration, but didn't seem very concerned.

    She does use disposables. How do you know the difference of where the crystals are coming from?

    I will try that. I've never seen them on her when she's dry. We use huggies.

    2 things- one, Im thinking the previous posters are right, its probably the absorbent material from inside the diaper. Two, if its not, and they are crystals, Id think your LO would feel them passing and cry.

    The only time crystals leaked out of their diapers was when I forgot to change one of them after a nap and it was absolutely soaked.

    How often is it happening and how often are you changing diapers?

    DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
    IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!

    I change diapers every couple of hours. I will have to keep track of how often it is happening.

    Agree with PPs it could be the diaper. I've never had it with this LO, but with my older kids when their diapers were really soaked it would happen. But, in those cases, there were a lot of crystals. How many crystals are you talking? If it is a medical issue I would think there would only be a few. I have a toy poodle who sometimes passes crystals which is common for the breed. It can block/cause difficulty urinating. I know you said your LO doesn't urinate much. I'd check with your doctor if tree are only a few of crystals.
