Does anyone have a Davinci crib?

I posted a while ago about looking at cribs and prices. Does anyone have a Davinci crib and if so are you happy/unhappy with it? I found the Kalani model online for around $200 which seems like a great deal. I had my heart set on the Pottery Barn Kendall Fixed Gate but just can't seem to get on board with the 400 price tag plus shipping and conversion kit price so was considering the Kalani. Thanks!

Re: Does anyone have a Davinci crib?

  • We don't, but I know plenty that do. It's a good brand. Highly ranked by the baby gear book whose name I'm forgetting. That's a good price as well. I couldn't bring myself to spend more than $150, so I stuck with graco (and glad I did bc DS, like most kids, chewed up the railing). But I looked at the davinci's. Honestly, I wasted so much time looking at cribs and at the end of the day they're all similar. As long as you steer away from the poorly rated ones.

We do!!! A friend of mine bought the DaVinci Piedmont off Amazon and altho I had my decision made on another crib when I saw how sturdy and nice hers was I was hooked (it doesn't look anywhere near as impressive online)---it literally bought mine minutes later!! The quality is wonderful, the drawer underneath is handy, comes in white , espresso and gray & its convertible(comes with the toddler rails) and customer service is amazing (one part was damaged in shipping and they overnighted it to us) it was $269 on Amazon -- cheapest I've found!

  • We have a davinci mini crib that is great. It hasn't been in constant use, but it seems very high quality and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another from them

  • We do. I can't remember the model name, but it looks similar to the Reagan, but has a drawer underneath. We love it. We haven't converted it yet, so I can't speak to that aspect, but I would buy another one if we decide we need another crib.

  • We have it for DS. We ordered it from BRU and parts were damaged. They mailed us new pieces. Just order early, or through a different site to make sure you get it in perfect condition by the one you need it.

  • Just last Sunday we ordered the DaVinci Reagan crib after doing a lot of research. We got it from cymax.com for just over $160 with a coupon code. Free shipping, too! And it arrived on Friday.

From all the reviews we read, people are always happy with DaVinci cribs, unless they order the one color - I think it was oak - because they think it looks too orange.

I got the DaVinchi Reagan from diapers.com a com[any owner by amazon. I think it was $166 and had free shipping. We actually did get the oak because we wanted the more "mapley" color that peopel call orange. I think they should call it maple rather than oak an people would be happier. A lot of "oak" nursery furniture is very pale wood really more of a birch color.

I am a FTM, but my friend has a DaVinchi crib and loves it, so we went for it. I can't wait to set it up!

  • We bought that crib for our first and loved it! It is easy to assemble and very pretty. Unfortunately, our daughter hated being in a crib and would only sleep on our bed. For baby #2, I'm waiting to buy a crib until I know it will be used by the baby, rather than to just store toys!! :)
  • I do but it's 6 years old now and cost me a pretty penny to get but so far has lasted through 2 kids and onto the 3rd
