We found out yesterday that we had an increased risk for a baby with DS, 1:190. That's a 99.5% chance for a healthy baby, which seems like good odds, but still flagged. I'm broken hearted right now. We had the Harmony test yesterday and now it's a waiting game. My husband says we shouldn't worry/stress until we get these results but the tears keep coming

UPDATE: Just got the phone call with the results of the Harmony test. It came back NORMAL!!!! That is a less than 1:10,000 chance of a baby with DS. Thank you all for the support. Thoughts and prayers to all of you still waiting to hear back!
Re: Not so hot NT scan results? UPDATE
Hugs to you and I hope you get a good result

It was a combination of blood work and measurements. The neck measurement was 2.8 which is on the higher side of normal (my doctor uses 3 as the cutoff) but my husband has a big neck and they say that can play a role. And then all of the blood work came in around 2. something and they like to see it at 1. She then made the stupid comment of "we were shocked to see your risk so high given your age and lack of other risk factors" as she proceeded to tell me it wasn't anything to panic about. But when the doctor says she was shocked, obviously I'm going to panic.

Keep your head up! Its understandable to get you down and increase your anxiety. I have a girlfriend that had similar results and her LO came out fine.
I hope everything works out but try and not stress out...it won't do either of you any good.
Good Luck!
>:D<Either way, you will have a beautiful baby that you will love and cherish. Hopefully everything turns out just fine - try not to worry yourself to death. *hugs*
Also, if you need to see a perspective from a parent with a child that has DS, check out www.kellehampton.com - she has an amazing story/blog. DH wanted me to get all of these tests done but I told him that it didn't matter either way. Whether you find out there is a possibility now or when the baby arrives - it won't change how much you love them.
Thanks again everyone!
