Anyone else have an ExTrEMELY active mover/kicker? So much movement that it woke me up at 3am..it's two and a half hours later and baby is still at it! Fingers crossed it will not be a wild child that never sleeps!
Sometimes, (flame me for this later) I swear this baby can hear my thoughts. Normally every night before I go to sleep, every time I roll over during the night, and every morning, then during the day before/during/after meal times, like clockwork, she lets me know she's there.
In the middle of the night last night I realized she hadn't moved when I'd been tossing and turning. I was like "I shouldn't worry about that, right?" And just like she heard me, I got a knock-knock.
Ds was so like that in the womb. He was crazy strong and such a mover! He is a good sleeper but when he is up- he is going going going.
Baby girl moves but definitely not as much as her brother did. I don't know if it's because we're still pretty early yet- although ds was crazy fr the beginning. Or if the anterior placenta really effects it a lot.
I feel this kid so much. DS1 wasn't as active (I think because he was stuck most of the second half of my pregnancy), so it's crazy to feel him this much. This baby has a clear pattern of being awake at night too so I notice it even more. He usually goes nuts around 10 pm, then again if I wake up in the middle of the night, and then I hang out after my alarm goes off first thing in the morning just feeling the kicks and punches.
I'm on this train too. I've felt pops since week 14, graduating to thumps at week 16 and since then it's one big capoeira event in there. At first it was cute, but now frankly its almost annoying sometimes (I hate to admit that). The doctor claims they sleep most of the time so I guess he's doing it in his sleep too. The most rest he takes is 15-20 minute breaks at best.

This baby has been super active lately too. If I'm up and about I don't notice him, but he's kicking away usually if I'm sitting or laying down. He likes to kick the mattress when I lay on my side to let me know he thinks it's playtime, not bedtime. I keep telling my husband to get his son to stop kicking mommy so she can sleep! I simultaneously love feeling him and am kind of annoyed by it sometimes. It can get a little uncomfortable.

Not a flame, but a more earthly explanation: these babies can definitely feel what position they're in, get a boost of energy from how much sugar is in the amniotic fluid, and hear sounds on the outside. So baby is really responding! I notice mine thump around and re-adjust when I roll over at night, too. I also notice that a deep breath gets her kicking... I don't know if it's because she feels the change in position or if she's getting a burst of oxygen/energy from me. My son did the same thing.
On the whole, this girl is moving a lot, though I sometimes wonder if she is calmer than her brother was. Like a PP mentioned, it might just be early yet. Or I might just be selectively remembering. I still feel her a ton and she's getting so strong, but I remember my son REALLY wigging out in there.
DS was super active in the womb from early on. I would joke that he would be a soccer player or dancer and while I don't know if he'll be either of those, he definitely cannot sit still. He goes, goes, goes the entire day. This baby is much more calm and I don't feel her nearly as much so I'm really hoping that's indicative of a more calm temperament or I'm screwed. lol.

All...day...long...except at night. If I change position, she'll roll for a while and then go back to sleep. I've noticed that she responds to the dog barking, which is pretty funny to me. One night she was rolling and rolling and I finally put DH's hand where she was and he thought she was spazing out. At this point it feels like there are movements all across my abdomen. Last week I was driving and she was doing something that was hurting! It's like she was hitting a nerve.
She's a mover, but thankfully the dance parties at 3 am have not started. But I do get punched a lot when I'm sitting at work. The only bummer is that while she is super active for me, as soon as DH comes over to feel her? Complete stillness. He's a bit sad.
Me too! I keep telling him that he knows its Daddy and he's being "good". But I feel bad that DH has to hang out for a looong time for him to get going again. I don't know if its the pressure of his hand or some weird ESP thing - but the little guy settles right down for a while when DH's hand is there. I also joke that this just means DH will have to hold him all the time when he's screaming

Yes, some days (and nights) he's so active that I wonder what he'll be like on the outside . Other days it's just a little movement here and there.
Also, don't worry too much about baby being so active during the night. That's perfectly normal. After he/she is born, they will learn to switch their days/nights again.

Yes! Yesterday at my checkup she kept kicking the dopplar every time the nurse put it on my belly. She had the nurse and I both laughing. Guess she didn't want to be bothered!
haha! I said this to DH the other day! If the activity of this baby is any indication of our child;s activeness outside of the womb, I am in trouble!! DH had his arm next to my belly the other night while I was sleeping and he couldn't believe how much movement he could feel! I am getting a lot of movement around 3-3:30AM until about 6 as well lol
I definitely have a mover! And as much as it feels strange, I absolutely love it. It always happens most at night and in the morning. throughout the day I don't notice it as much but that might also be because I'm busy and my mind is elsewhere.
All this movement is making me even more impatient to meet this little guy! I really cannot wait!
Me too! I feel like his trying to kick his way out of me! I've been woken up a few times over the last week to him turning/kicking/punching up a storm! It's neat to feel (and weird!) but kind of annoying when I need to try and get some sleep before my 6am wake up.
Yep! I started to get very strong movements at 17 weeks, still now, at 24 weeks we haven't been able to get exact measurements of him because he's constantly flying around in there lol

The only way DH can feel our LO is if I just very gently and quietly motion for him to come over or just reach for his hand if he's close enough. If I say anything, it stops. If DH presses too hard, it stops. Poor guy can't win.
Same here! Especially right After work when I'm ready to sleep, baby feels it's the perfect time to wiggle and kick like there's no tomorrow! Luckily I've gotten better at being able to fall asleep through it. When it first started I was up all night.
Im jumping on that band wagon too. When my DH touches my belly baby basically stops every time. But yesterday night he rolled over and put his hand on my belly while we were still in bed and baby was being very active! He has felt kicks before, but not like that. He was funny and said do you feel that all night?! Yup at least most of it!
