July 2014 Moms

SS: Today is my due date. DS is 2 months 2 weeks old.

Alexander was born at 29+2 on April 27th. He spent over 50 days in the NICU. Those days were the hardest days I have ever lived through. I want to thank all of you ladies for the constant support I have gotten from this board. I continued to read the board daily after Alexander's birth, and it let me feel some sort of normalcy during that time. I was able to vent and ask for prayers through the challenges we faced. Many of you celebrated with me when Alexander was finally able to come home.
I've had my baby boy home for 3 weeks now, and I feel just like a mother of a newborn! I can related to many of the posts again and I LOVE reading about and seeing your LOs. Thanks again ladies, for being there through a difficult time for my family.

  • Your little guy has come a long way. I'm so happy for your little family. I remember reading his birth story and your early blog postings like it was yesterday.

  • Wow! How was that 2 months ago? I agree...Every time I wish this baby was out I remind myself I'm still growing a full term baby who probably won't need a NICU. I'm so glad things worked out wonderfully for you and Alex :-)

I can totally relate! It's nice to be able to go to the board now and be in the same situations .. Just out birth birth stories came two months ago!!
My Remi was born 2 weeks after your Alexander! And the day I went into the hospital because my water broke. I followed your story while I was in the hospital on bed rest -- knowing we would be in the same situation too!
