So far I have been able to get away with wearing all of my regular clothes except shorts and pants. I was fairly petite getting pregnant (5'3 and 120 pounds) mostly because I followed a pretty strict paleo eating plan. Since getting pregnant I have needed carbs and have found it really hard to maintain my former eating habits and as a result now have a bootie and thighs that are a little thicker than I am used to. Since I live in Florida I need shorts to make it through the summer but all the ones I have tried on feel like they are suction cupped to my thighs which makes me feel self conscious. Does anyone know of a brand / store that has shorts with a little looser fit in the leg? Thanks so much!
Re: Maternity shorts question
Eta: the pair I tried on at Motherhood were way too tight on my thighs.

I'm about the same size as you (5'4", 120 lbs) and love the shorts from Target. I just bought them yesterday because my shorts are starting to get tight and 40% off with the cartwheel app.
The xs were just a little tight on my hips and the small are a little baggy around the hips. Sigh. I just went with the bigger size for comfort.

I got a pair of shorts from Old a Navy and they are okay but I don't LOVE them. I also bought a couple pairs of linen blend shorts in the regular section because they have a drawstring waist and those I love! I went one size bigger than my norm and they will def get me through the entire Summer.
I really want to like Target maternity stuff because it is the closest place to me, but I HATED all of the shorts I tried on there. I have two decent pairs, one from Kohl's and one from Old Navy. The ON pair is my favorite, but I had to go up a size to get room in the legs (I've got thick/muscular powerlifting legs).
