Hey girls! I've heard from other posts that the Sonoline B doppler is pretty popular so I was wondering where did you all purchase this?? I've had a hard time finding reputable websites you can buy it from. Thanks!
This... Got my first read at 8w5d. It's amazing and I love being able to check on baby when I need reassurance. I just had to order more gel.

Whoa! I didn't know you could buy these! When do they start working??
The only danger is if you aren't far enough along, or are on the larger size or not sure how/where to use it, you will only cause yourself stress
Very true... Im glad everyone warned me that you may not hear it at first depending on how far along you are. So I was prepared mentally. I also recommend watching several youtube videos for help. I got mine at 7.5 wks and honestly had no clue how low to search, and couldn't distinguish all the different sounds. At first I thought my artery flow was baby HB, until I saw a video of a woman explaining the various sounds.

Any tips on larger ladies using these? I'm like a size 16 (or 18 with bloat lol). Will I not really be able to use one?
I'm a 16/18 also and as long as I'm laying flat on my back and have an empty stomach, I don't have too much trouble picking up sounds. Eta: it was also recommended to have a full bladder. That worked for me the first couple times, but isn't as needed now as long as it's been a while since I last ate. I usually check in the evenings about 2hrs after dinner.

I just thought if pass along that if you don't want to spend the money on the special gel, aloe/after sun works just as well and it's a lot cheaper.
I've heard I can use aloe gel. But the ultrasound gel was only $5 so I didn't think that was too bad. Plus I have no clue where to get aloe gel from. I also heard KY/Personal lube works. :-/

I know this is old but I'm excited and didn't want to start another sonoline thread. I finally heard this sweet baby's heartbeat this morning! I only caught it for a couple seconds at a time, but it was still so cool!
I'm 11 weeks and can't find anything.... I'm seeing a midwife tomorrow? Answers then? I'm gonna look at some videos too to try to learn how to use it better.
@agm04 that's awesome news! It is the best $50 I ever spent.
@SNail312' don't worry, yesterday, even after being able to hear it every day for weeks, i had a REALLY hard time finding one of the babies. Sometimes you just need to walk around and try again. Don't stress!

Twins? You mean two babies? WOW!
Team PURPLE!!
We are excited to meet William Alexander and Harper Abigail in 2015!
I was able to hear mine today, with a full bladder. Mine was also higher than I thought, and more to the left. I'll be 11 weeks Thursday. I was freaking myself out so badly last week that I made my DD hide it until today. I use aloe and sometimes lube as gel.
I got one as well didn't find heart beat at first but then tried again in a week and got one today! I also watched a video on YouTube on how to use and that is what helped me find the heart beat it explained the noise to listen for and how to find baby. I am 9 weeks 2 days, it was for only a min but it was cool and my 2.5 year old daughter heard it and was excited and said "you find baby!"

Oh my gosh that is too precious. I haven't told my 4yo twins yet. We'll see how they react later.
