Hi Ladies!
I've been lurking for the past week or so, but thought I would finally introduce myself. I'm 29, DH is 38 and we have an 18 month old DS. DH also has a 10 year old DD. I suffered a miscarriage of what we think were identical twins at 8 1/2 weeks in May (we were never able to see the second heartbeat, just another yolk sac behind the one baby). I'm 5w2d and am cautiously optimistic this time around, but am still very worried. Just trying to stay busy, calm, and healthy until my first scan on July 22! I declined having my Betas checked because I felt like it would cause me too much unessesary stress worrying about the numbers.
Anyway, I do feel like my symptoms are more pronounced this time around, which I'm hoping is a good sign. I woke up feeling hungover after sleeping for a solid 9 1/2 hours--obviously without a drop of alcohol last night

and it brought back memories of my first pregnancy. I remember waking up every morning feeling like I had spent the whole night at the bar. Then there's DH next to me who probably drank a 12 pack and he feels fine. Oh the irony! Lol
It's nice to "meet" you all, and I wish everyone a H&H rest of your pregnancies!

I must mention that the situation you called ironic is not ironic. Neither is anything in the Alanis song. But you didn't ask for an irony lesson, so I'll leave it at that

@FrecklesInside & @meladoriestar My use of the word "irony" is that of situational irony, as described in @meladoriestar 's link. Meaning, it is quite unexpected and contrary to what one might think that I, the pregnant one who has not had alcohol, is feeling hungover instead of my husband, who consumed quite a bit of alcohol. As a result, the situation is amusing...just a little bit, don't ya think?
